plan b, late/missed period

So I had stumbled upon this topic about a week ago, and was glad that I did. It relieved some of my stress about possibly being pregnant. On June 6 I had unprotected sex but he pulled out. Unsure of the possibility of being pregnant I bought and took Plan B on June 7 and later that week around June 10 I had a light bleeding that lasted about 3 days. I thought it was weird because it was only about two weeks after my last period. I figured that this bleeding was caused by the pills, so I didn't freak out that much. Two weeks later I figured I would get my period, but didn't. I just wondered if I was a little late due to the pills so I relaxed for about a week...then I started to freak out because there still was no period. Concerned I took a pregnancy test, and it was negative. Then I stumbled upon this topic and read somewhere that some other women were having this problem and that one of them even said that the light bleeding I had could have been the start of my new cycle. I hoped that she was right. Today I decided that if I still didn't have my period, I would take another test tomorrow. This is unnecessary however because I started my period today! This is about four weeks after that light bleeding that I didn't think was my period but just because of the pill. So after two weeks of freaking out, i am so relieved and I hope this helps calm some other people who took plan b and are having freaky menstrual issues. Good luck ladies!!

I took 3 plan b pills with in one month, and now its been a month since my last period, I'm really scared. I took A test 4 weeks ago and one a week ago that were both negative. but I'm still concern abou t the fact that I have not had my period. It is really soo common for plan be to cause you to miss your pierod?

so my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex after the condom kept slipping off. i told him not to come inside me and if he was feeling it coming, to pull out. thats exactly wat he did, but he said he wasnt sure if any came out or not, but felt like none did. but just to be on the safe side he got me the plan b and i took it monday night. i took the second one 12 hours later and the next morning i felt horrible. i threw up for the first time in my life, had diaherra, and could not eat at all. the next day i felt completely fine. the only thing that im worried about is that we had sex the day after my ovulation period ended. im only 15 and know that i made a huge mistake. i just really need some advice and some help please?

just an update

i went down to planned parenthood and im not pregnant.
everything is just a side effect that lasted for like 3 weeks
i also had an alergic reaction to plan b which caused lyphnodes in my neck to swell
if they dont go down ill have to get them drained.

ok so i took the plan b pill on sun july 5 my period was expected to begin on sat july 13 and now i'm late...i've been getting menstrual cramps, sore breasts, etc...could it be possible that the pill is making me late...my fiance and i are worried...somebody help me if you've had the same problem

We are somewhat in the same boat, I had sex on July 2nd, and took plan b 8 hours later.
I was supposed to start my period, actually today or yesterday... I have been cramping like I'm supposed to be on it, and yesterday I thought I was in the clear when I started bleeding a little. But now I've noticed its just more brown discharge with a bit of blood. But not a lot at all. I'm kinda worried.

emily it is most def the pill,its caused some girls to be late by a week or two,skip a period for a whole month. If you took the pill right before getting ur period chances are its gunna push ur period back. Your fine.wait a few weeks and if your sttilluneasy then taking a test to ease ur mind is good.no worries ur nt pregnant. How long did u wait to take the pill?

because you took plan be within 12 hours,your pretty much 100 in the clear.jus keep a look out for it.. don't worry becuz then it will make it later. No reason too worry. Wait a couplee mre weeks and then take a test to ease ur mind

plan b 3 times in one month is almost a sureee bet ur periods gunna be messed up. Its def common sincce u took it 3 times but becareful becuz the more u taake it the less effective it gets

Hey my girlfriend took plan b a little before 24 hours of having unprotected sex, and shes about 4 days late now, but she keeps having symptoms of her period like cramps kinda bad and she says she gets on edge(mood swings) randomly too, so im pretty worried, anyone know if this is somewhat normal?

hi girls, i took plan b after sex with my bf as we freaked out after, he didnt ejaculate though.

so here is what happened..on the 22 may, i took the morning after pill, my period was due arnd 1st june, but it came on 6th june, very much normal period. or do i call it spotting. abt 2 weeks after the pill, normal.

so i was due for my period this mth, 6th july, but till now, its not here here yet. 11 days late already. took 3 tests, but all showed negative. these 3-4days ive been bloated, slight cramps and tender breasts. pretty worried..

do u think its normal? cld be the hormonal imbalance?

its a month after i took the pill and had my last period a week after the pill as expecet for my normal time.
this month im 2 days early and its not as heavy as it should be.
crampin but not as painfull.

For all you worrying out there, I agree with Jess' post on page 1 of this discussion. My reasoning is as follows:

My boyfriend and I had sex on June 8 with a condom. Nothing too abnormal happened, but I was still worried and finally got plan b 3 days after to ease my mind for the rest of the month. Now, I had just had my period May 30-June 4. I have about 4.5-5 week cycles, so I figured the next would be around July 4. However, I had a light bleed around June 16-18 for about 3 days, along with some cramps. July 4 came and went and no period. Then, I found this discussion thread and read A LOT of posts. While I was somewhat relieved that others had also been through this, I would not feel okay until I got my period. After reading Jess' post about the light bleed being my new period time, I kept the faith.

However, I was experiencing all the period symptoms, and some even more amplified than normal. Extremely sensitive and full breasts, cramps coming and vanishing in back and stomach, tiredness, bloatedness, etc. I also felt hungry all the time and even gained weight. Since I took the pill, I gained about 8 pounds even though I was working out quite a bit. I just now lost maybe 3 of these 'pill pounds'. I felt bloated and fat and generally crappy.

I finally broke down and took a pregnancy test on July 12 b/c I was getting worried. It came out negative. 3 days later, with no period in sight but all the symptoms, I took the other test and still negative. I made up my mind yesterday that if my period did not come by Monday, I was going to the gyno. However, I finally started this morning, July 18. This was almost exactly a month from the light bleed I experienced after taking the pill. This seems to be a pretty normal time period after reading a lot of these posts, so I figured I would let you all know my story and the timeline to try to help ease your minds. I know it's hard to wait and I know I didn't do it very well, but it is most likely coming ... just a lot later than any of us would like to wait (and a lot later than the side effects of the pill states!). Seriously? There's not way you are pregnant. You messed up your hormones with Plan B. You're period will come. Chill.

PROTECTED SEX on June 8, 9, and early AM of June 18. Had a short period (I think it was) on 19 for 3 days. The color was just like normal period but it was very light. Pantyliner was good enough. Kinda freaked out and wondered if it was an implantation bleeding. So I took the pregnancy test on July 2nd assuming that if I was pregnant from June 8, 9. Negative. Did another test on July 6th. Negative again. I'm a very paranoid person. So I did another pregnancy test on July 17th. Negative.

My conclusion so far... Not pregnant? Since the last pregnancy test was done on 17th and last time I had a "PROTECTED" sex was June 18. Almost a month ago.

The reason why I did so many pregnancy tests was all because of how little the amount of my period in June. FYI, I took Plan B in May and had a delayed, heavy period. Then, could this light period in June was due to Plan B I took in May? My period for this month should come soon, hopefully.

Please help me so I can ease my mind!

Okay, so my experience is very similar.

My fiance' and I had sex for the first time recently and the condom broke (pretty sucky, i know) so we got the plan b pill less than 24 hours later. I took it like the instructions said and a week or two later I had light brownish bleeding for a few days.
Now, my period is due sometime in the "teens" of this month, but it is currently the 24 and still no blood. I keep having kind of menstrual symptoms like moodiness and breast tenderness, even a mild cramp. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I went to the lady doctor and got perscribed the depo shot, but i can't get on that until i have a period. I'm hoping Plan B just messed up my cycle. I'm a college student and a baby just isn't an option right now.:(
We used spermacidal condoms, female spermacide, he pulled out, and the Plan B pill, so I consider the odds pretty slim, but the thought and the worry is still there.

Someone help?
