I live in Maryland and know it's illegal for licensed therapist to massage breasts. It just feels so incomplete aftger the massage. Does anyone know someone who does?

Hello! I'm a Certified Massage Therapist in California. Our state has local guidelines regarding massage and they don't seem to be very breast-friendly. But California is a very progressive state. I have had several female clients requesting breast massage. As a facilitator of good health, it is difficult to deny a female client massage for good breast health. With the surge of breast cancer awareness, breast massage is a valuable tool for breast health.
I do not know any massage therapist in Maryland. But I'm sure that with persistence you will find a caring and sensitive therapist who offers breast massage.

I am a licensed massage therapist in MD and as far as I know, it is not illegal to touch breast tissue during a massage, under certain conditions.

1- There must be informed consent, meaning the client must be informed of the therapeutic value of what you are going to do BEFORE you begin massaging the chest region. You need at least verbal permission to touch the area.

2- The nipple may not be touched.

That being said, it is pretty usual and very legitimate for individual massage therapists to set their own personal boundaries so that they feel safe and comfortable during the session. Many therapists do not want to take on the liability of a possible misconduct complaint which can cost them their license.

I am a massage therapist in Maryland. Here's what I do:

You sign a general intake form which allows the therapist or client to terminate the session at any time if either feels their boundaries have been violated

I get verbal permission to continue with massage in the breast area, and I give you control of the edge of the draping sheet so that you can move it down to expose however much of the chest you are comfortable with having massaged.

Before and after each area of the body is massaged, the area is re-draped (covered by the sheet)

After the session, I indicate in my session notes what has been done, and you initial that day's notes so that I have written proof of informed consent.

Be aware that the intention of massaging the breast area is never to arouse, and every professional massage is strictly therapeutic and non-sexual.

I live in Frederick, and I usually travel to my clients' homes. I have had people come to me as well, although I don't have an official "spa" room set up.

I'll send you a message with my contact information.

How refreshing it is not to have LMT hammering away at us on here calling us pervertered and sex fiends! Looks like he may finally be in his cage :)

Down here in FL such massage is pretty routine according to my friends and therapists I know all say its legal. Truth is, they wouldn't tell details anyway since its no one else's business.

Its nice to have this forum to discuss general issues.

LOL - like you would know anything about it, dum dum!

Quit pretneding, smart people have got your number now as a faker. There are state laws against pretending to be a massage therapist LMT when you are not one - at least you have offered us no proof.

I should post a caution on this thread against eating yellow snow, just for the joy of seeing one of Flasher's sock puppets come on here within minutes explaining how GOOD yellow snow is for you...

Good point! My compliments on your trying to clarify this issue.

It is afterall a real issue and it goes right to the heart of credibility of all LMT postings.

My guess is its an imposted. Just look at all of the mess LMT has put all over this forum.

I can't believe you just f*cked up AGAIN, flasher! You posted as GentlemanBen while you were still using the Niceville server. Oops!

That's what happens when you set up so many fake identities. You're just not savvy enough to keep track of them, Bubba!

"Just like to know to whom I am speaking because it seems to be a common practice for a few of you to write one comment, log out, and then sign in with a different ID to make a reply.

So lets not start out with a disingenuous identiity, OK? "

~ posted by flasher on the ironically named professional massage discussion thread when he was impersonating an LMT for the first of many times...

As a neutral party, I think you are an idiot and a liar!

If you check your location you will notice it changes from different posts too. Sometimes it says Akron, sometimes in other towns. So by your own pointy finger you are accusing yourself of lying and being a total idiot.

But to the larger point, having just read many of your posts it is obvious you hold yourself out to be a licensed massave therapist. However you are running from the question if you are indeed that. Its a matter of fraud and you have an obligation to all of us to say either yes or no.

I demand a straight answer to that question!

You're definitely NOT a neutral party.
You're another sockpuppet created by flasher. And what you demand is irrelevant.
