You're welcome! My school trained us on this very issue, because it is a common occurance. The sad part is finding a therapist who isn't going to judge you off the table. I'd say that 90% of my male clients become aroused, but I don't take it personally, because it's all in the nervous system.

I'm glad I could help!

Crystal, please be careful about diagnosing a possible urologic or psychosexual condition. Although your motive is to relieve this client's anxiety, we have all taken the pledge to stay within our scope of practice.

What is the point of having this forum if one MT is urging all other MTs to not answer the question?

Some of us would like to enjoy a nonsexual massage and are wondering why this ejaculation problem is happening to us. We don't want to be told that it's okay if it happens; we want to avoid it entirely. Sure, accidents happen, but patterns aren't accidents. And what seem like trivial reasons to avoid this to some people--such as, I don't want to cheat on my spouse, or I don't want to engage in some bizarre sexual practice, especially outside of marriage--are not trivial to all of us.

Professional MTs should definitely be aware that this could happen, and that some us of would like to avoid it. We would also like to enjoy the benefits of massage and not just do without.

The MTs and others who have made specific suggestions (like tell your MT so that they can change the pressure and/or technique) have been fantastic. Thank you.

The people who say: don't say anything are not.

Hello,
In tantra massage the point where you want to open up the sexual feelings are called the red chakra, which is located at the root of the tail bone and around the hips and upper thighs. I get massages all of the time and being a female I also get aroused and feel like I am comming when I get massaged in this area and also the ankles are the sexual points for women to get turned on. I love my ankles massaged. I dont get excited about the therapist, because I have had both female and male massage me, young and old.it is a natural response, God made our bodies this way and God does not make mistakes. Men need this for relaxing .
Hello, that's very true Karen, having said that, as a man I would be lucky to have a woman like you. As for your comment on the ankles it has not be performed correctly on you, I beg to differ Karen.....

do most guys get totally naked for a massage or wear undergarments? They say "get undressed to your comfort level"

Bob, I am a massage therapist and I recommend to all my clients (male or female) that they undress completely. This allows me to have uninterupted motion during the massage. Also, I would estimate that 25% of my male clients ejaculate during massage so I consider this perfectly normal.

I agree. It is a phony story probably written by a guy and the majority of responses are also phony. You can tell by the way they are written.
Truth is that there are things like that that happen during massage and there are a lot of massage therapists who leave their clients uncovered but only if they know them and are comfortable with them. If you are a female massage therapist there could be occasions where a client will ejaculate when lying on his stomach particularly when you work on the buttocks area. I had an occasion when I was on my stomach and I startet to feel an orgasm about to happen. I told the therapist to stop for a minute. She knew what was wrong and told me that it does happen on occasion. She also said that while the client doesn't tell you you can tell. I was with this therapist for 7 years and she understood men more than I did. Face it guys women are superior to us and more caring.

Thanks for your comments! Are you a massage therapist? I did not just leak a little semen, I had a full blown ejaculation. She had me very relaxed at the time and I was very stressed before I went in. I am 32 yrs old and happily married so that is why I felt a bit embarrased. Not sure if I should ever go back to that same mt or just try a new place? Neither of us aknowledged what had happend so she must have found out when she changed her sheets. If any one else has comments on this I would appreciate it!
Try her again and see what happens. When men are relaxed the skin of the penis becomes very sensitive and remember you are naked whether you are covered or not. Your body will respond more easily. If you start feeling it again stopped the therapist and if she asks what is wrong don't be afraid to tell her the truth. If she is truly proffesional she will give you a positive and understanding response. With men this is always going to be something that can happen.

If 25% of the male clients ejaculate, then how can that be considered nonsexual?

I have been getting massages for about 8 years and while on a few occasions I have had an erection I never had an ejaculation until my last visit.

I first received an acupuncture treatment which lasted about 1/2 hour then a normal massage. I was wearing underwear and my midsection was covered with a towel

At some point when I was on my back the MT was doing some chopping on my thigh and accidentally hit my penis. She apologized and moved it out of the way in a way that was very clinical and non-sexual.

As the MT continued to massage my thighs and stomach my erection (caused by the previous touching) became apparent straining against underwear.

My eyes were closed the entire time. But I heard the MT exhale and sounded as if she expressed some
exasperation as she tried to adjust the towel and my boxers so that my penis was not in the way. All of this touching only contributed to my erection.

At some point the MT moved my underwear so the my penis was slightly exposed and she gently touched the penis while massaging my stomach. I then ejaculated rather quickly.

She cleaned up, left the room brought me a warm towel and continued to massage me for a bit.

It was a very awkward experience. The MT from her breathing and subtle noises seemed to express frustration or annoyance but her causing my ejaculation seemed very deliberate.

I wondered at some point, if the MT just decided it was easier to cause me to ejaculate than to deal my erection.

I have had dozens and dozens of professional massage and never an experience like this. Since the MT is not from the US, and the action was so clinical, it made me wonder if this is common historical, practice to mix massage therapy with a sexual release.

I know that sounds naive and the suggestion is offensive to most MT's. But, experience was so clinical as opposed to tawdry it just made me wonder is this some how a common practice if not sanctioned by local laws.

There are many things in Mike's story that make me wave the B.S. flag on this one. First, mistakenly hitting the penis while performing percussion to the thigh would involve a supremely inept massage therapist. Secondly, I've worn boxers for quite a while, and they don't just "accidentally" expose the penis during repositioning of the draping. Most likely, you went to a prostitution-type massage parlor, got horny and couldn't afford the "therapist's" fee for a hand job, so you whacked off in front of the "therapist."

1) I don't know if it was a mistake that she hit my penis. I assumed it was a mistake because she acted like it was.

2) I never said my penis was exposed by accident. That was obviously quite intentional.

3) This was not a "prostitution-type massage parlor" I went in and received a full acupuncture treatment by the same therapist before the massage. I was quoted a reasonable price for a 90 minuted session over the phone and I was charged what I was quoted. I was never asked if I wanted any "special services".

4) I never touched myself. Nor did I ever state or imply that I did.

I was pretty embarrassed and confused that this happened. I felt pretty awkward but the MT seemed pretty nonchalant about the whole thing. That is why I did some searching and found this thread. I decided to post this story because it seems like some people here have had similar experiences.
"BS" If it is difficult for you to process that something like this could happen, you are free not to believe it. I am posting this to see if others who have had similar experiences my have insights as to weather this is some sort of common practice or a weird aberration.

Okay, Mike, I owe you an apology. It appears that this unregulated therapist behaved in a very questionable manner. Unfortunately, California has chosen to opt out of tighter regulation of Massage Therapists, so it is likely that she will never be disciplined for this type of behavior. In Ohio, she would be explaining herself to the State Medical Board and could possibly be placed on probation or lose her license. There ARE good therapists in California, you just have to look hard for them. Check out the AMTA's web site at www.amtamassage.org

I have never ejaculated during a massage. I use to go to a therapist religiously and you know what? She is now my GF. I am nude and at first i use to get erections when she did my glutes but it would quickly go away when it was time to turn over. In a professional setting she NEVER hit my penis. now she did make contact with my testicles a few times when draping but it was nothing. Only one time for whatever reason my penis was in between my legs and when it was time to do the glutes she knew before redraping me and asked me politely to "reposition myself", I knew right away what she meant so...

After 3 months of going to her I felt a connection and to make a long story short we are now dating. And the ironic thing? She no longer does massages for me period. I now go to a different practice and new therapist.

This new therapist talks WAY TOO MUCH during the massage and uses only a white thin sheet to drape which is totally different than what I am use to (sheet/blanket combo) and this woman HAS made contact with my penis. When I say contact her hands brushed up against it. Twice when she was repositioning the drape to do my glutes and once when she was working on my stomach. I admit I got a full erection that time and she totally ignored it and continued working. It was very embarassing, i just kept thinking of grandma and it finally subsided.

My GF has told me horror stories from creepy old men to pervs to guys who pass gas while getting their glutes worked on! She says erections are totally normal and she has seen her share of them. She has NEVER had a guy ejaculate. She admits only rare that she has by accident exposed the penis when re-positioning the drape when the man turns over to lie on their back. She has a few times accidentally brushed up on the penis when draping. And yes she admits when she gets a "hot" client she is only human and has at times gotten aroused at a nice set of glutes on a fit man. We're only human.

But that is my experience. If you guys have any specific questions for my GF who is a licensed MT I'll ask her.

Jim-

Thanks for your post. It seems to me by reading all of the posts here, what happens to each guy maybe does have something to do with who is doing the massage. Maybe some therapists are more sensual etc, or get closer to private areas?? Not sure but that is just the way it seems?? I had never had an erection in any of the previous sessions i had, but in the last one, I had the ejaculation. The place I had gone to was always the same, but I always had a different therapist. So maybe it was just here???

Thanks again for all the posts and please keep more coming, I think this is an interesting topic!

I actually travel to China quite a bit. They use that technique it seems every time I come here on the upper right thigh. I was totally embarrassed about it but the MT didn't say anything. They seem to push from the need up the upper right thigh and I believe it is the increase in blood flow to the area from the large veins there that somehow creates the increase in blood to the penis area. I'm not a doctor obviously, but that what just the feeling I got. I am glad I am not alone.

my GF does do a few groin area massages. I have had them done to me and this is the closest a MT gets to your genitals. My GF gets cautious when someone requests to have their abductors/groin/high inner thigh worked on. When a client explains to her that they have pain in that area then fine she will work it but its when people go on and on how they need it worked on, point out the spot right near their genitals, etc... she can tell the good guys from the bad and when she feels she has a bad guy on her hands she will work on the area but she actually told me she will kinda make it "hurt". that's what she told me.

when I had this area worked on the MT put the drape in an odd position and she actually touched my testicles a bunch of times while working in that area. i got an erection but it went away fast because its not very pleasuarable, it kinda does hurt. I 'pitched a tent' and the MT snickered, smiled, and giggled at one point. It was embarassing but she said, "You got nothing to be embarassed about" so I didn't know how to take that.
