Hey Heck, just use any derivative of the word sex and the Puritans will come in mass, making up facts as they go. Not realizing that others are laughing at them. Enjoy your "catch".

Heck, here's some clarification:
A Puritan is a fully and competently licensed massage therapist who does not and never has given hand jobs as part of orthopedic or relaxation massage therapy. That's why I'm proud of CCLMT's little title. It sure beats what she does for a living!

So the massages I have been getting are strictly therapeutic, maybe I should be hinting about a happy ending. Do you think my massager will mind if I just toss the sheet aside and wait with a smile? After all, it is just a natural reaction and would indeed help me to truly relax.

That would depend on what state you're in. In California, you can pretty much do whatever you want: there's no regulation at all for massage practitioners. From CCLMT's posts, it seems like Corpus Christi is a good place to go for a hand job. But if you tried that on my table, you'd be in the ER within the half hour with your nut sack following in a plastic bag (if the paramedics could find it in the parking lot outside the window).

LMT, you have some major anger issues going on. Do you prefer being the dominate all the time, or just when you are on Topix? By the way, what makes you so sure I am a male?

Well, of course I'm angry because you come on a forum that you don't belong on and try to trash the image of the career that I love.

This is normal. Especially if you have Low back pain. If you feel uncomfortable, tell them. She is working all the muscles in your buttocks. There is a lot of tension held there, and there can be a lot of trigger points there as well. The main thing is, if you feel uncomfortable in any way, TELL THE CLINICIAN. Don't be afraid to. They would rather know. They can adjust to what is comfortable for you. This also goes for applied pressure.
Hi Manda

thanks for the response, i do prefer elbow on direct skin rather than thru the towel as it feels more effective. Thats why i wont try those Thai massages as they are generally thru clothes and im not into that. Im getting another massage tomorrow im worried that if she does my hamstrings i will ejaculate again. Do you think i should tell her this might happen, or would she have noticed last time and just not said anything? I want to get the area massaged so i dont want to avoid it just incase something may happen.

Massage involves acting on and manipulating the patient's body with pressure (structured, unstructured, stationary, and/or moving), tension, motion, or vibration done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, and/or organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, forearm, and feet. There are over eighty different massage modalities. The most cited reasons for introducing massage have been patient demand and perceived clinical effectivenesshttp://massage-th erapy-course-holistic.blogspot .com/

So, I went for a massage this week and need to find out if this has happened to anyone else.

When I got there, the massage therapist asked me to get undressed and lie face down on the table UNDER a sheet. She proceeded to massage my back and butt, then my legs. I was fine with this except I found myself getting really relaxed and comfortable.

She had me turn over, then started massaging my legs, then my arms, and before I knew it, she was massaging my neck. I have to admit this felt really good and I just wondered if this happened to anyone else. Should I feel guilty about this or just let it go?

The massage lady then left the room and I got dressed, payed her and left feeling very good. Should I be concerned that my muscles felt better and I slept well that night? Is this normal? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Hello All...

I'm a LMT of 9 years.. I have seen hundreds of people on my table, and this never happened to any of them!! However, I had a client recently tell me that he went to another therapist and this happened to him; specifically on the back of the right thigh!! I thought it peculiar when he told me this but now I see that it is a fairly common phenomenon.

Anyhow this is an interesting discussion; thank you for sharing! Now I'll know for future reference, if it ever happens with one of my clients. And, by the way, yes what Michelle said is right; we ARE very understanding.. which means that if we know it was unintentional, there is nothing at all to be embarassed about.. yet I can see how you would be. Good luck!

Wow, that happened to me too, and I felt so ashamed. No sex, no "accidental" touching or undraping. Just a very relaxing massage with extra attention to my tight neck and shoulders. I thought I was the only one to experience this. I'm glad I don't have to feel so alone now.

1. Massage Therapist: Your appointment is for 9 A.M. If I'm not on time, start without me.

2. Massage Therapist: Let me know if that's too much pressure. I don't want to torture you. That would be an added charge.

3. Massage Therapist (monologuing): I'm going to be doing frictions which can be a little unpleasant. It's at this point patients sometimes say (in a Sean Connery accent) "Do you expect me to talk?" And I say (wigged out Goldfinger voice): "I expect you to die, Mr. Bond!"

4. Client: What's in the massage oil?
Massage Therapist: Patchouli and some Rosemary. It smells nice. I tried using holy water once but it burns! It BURNS!

5. Massage Therapist: Is the pressure okay?
Client: How will I know if it's not "okay"?
Massage Therapist: If you see dead relatives beckoning you toward a bright light, that would be one clue.

6. Client: So...where did you get your training?
Massage Therapist: Prison.
Client (hushed gasp): Oh.

7. Client: By that pressure, I'd say you don't like me very much.
Massage Therapist:(Easing up.) No, no! Thank you for telling me the pressure was too much for you. If I really didn't like you, I'd use the lawn mower maneuver.
Client:(Curious) Ah, and what's that?
Massage Therapist: I wrap a long towel around your head several times, place one foot on your back, take one end of the towel and, er...start you up!
Client descends into silence for the rest of the hour, tips generously and scurries out.

8. Client: Jeez! That trigger point really hurt!
Massage Therapist: Yeah, if only I would use my powers for good instead of evil.

9. Massage Therapist: Would you like some Tiger Balm down your spine?
Client: No. You shouldn't use that! It's not ecologically sound! It's made with real tigers!
Massage Therapist: Ma'am, I can assure you that Tiger Balm is not that expensive. I've looked at the ingredients and I'm sure it does not contain any tiger residue whatsoever.
Client: Oh. Um. Okay.
Massage Therapist: The Baby Powder, however, contains 96% actual babies.

10. Client: I'm thinking of becoming a Massage Therapist myself. In the job I have now all I hear is complaints and people tell me their problems all day.
Massage Therapist: Spoken as a true healer.
Client: Huh?
Massage Therapist: What is it you do now, again?
Client: I'm a nurse.
Massage Therapist:(Speechless.)

It's not all or nothing. There are shades of gray here, but here's the set up...naked heterosexual man, lying on the table, draped or undraped, dimly lit room, soft music, female massage therapist rubbing warm oil over 90% of they guy's body...that's not sexual? You gotta be kidding. It's an inherently sexual situation. If the guy's lying there with an erection, even if from the therapists perspective it's complete clinical, it still sexual. When my female physician examines me, even checking for testicular or prostate cancer I never get an erection and it's not at all sexual. When my female optometrist checks my eyes, I do not get an erection. When my physical therapist massages my shoulder I do not get an erection. When my dentist puts in a filling I do not get an erection. In no other health care field are people having these inane discussion and attempting to prove an erection has nothing to do with sex. Medical benefits? C'mon. Most people who go for massage therapy could do a lot better things that would even save money and provide more health benefits...stop smoking and drinking, better diet, exercise, get enough sleep, manage stress in other way, that are far more beneficial than massage. There are lots of well-trained massage therapists out there - I've seen dozens and dozens over the years. But lets face it...there's always an element of sex involve. That why most guys get massage - even without the happy ending or any genital contact - still sexual. Trust me. Draw the line wherever you want, but to think that simply closing the door to the treatment room you lock all the sexual energy out is just ridiculous! The LMT on this forum are so resentful, because deep down they realized they've sign on for a very low level kind of sex work. It is the same as the street walker in the red light district? Of course not! Still let's be adult and admit that there is often sexual element in the room. Nothing to ashamed of. By the way there are plenty of LMT's who will go the extra mile with a little encouragement and extra money. Just writing the truth.

Every NFL football player gets massaged by a male massage therapist every day during the season. Sexual? No way.

Every Olympian gets massaged in preparation for competition. Sexual? No way.

So I don't buy your weak argument that massage therapy is any different than physical therapy, chiropractic, pilates, yoga, or any number of healthy lifestyle choices.

You, sir, have the sexual hangup and need to evaluate your mindeframe and motives.

Ok, I am a male massage therapist (also a licensed medical assistant) and have been in practice for nearly 15 years. I also receive a massage weekly (living in Asia has it's benefits). My personal therapist is a man. I am a happily married heterosexual man with two children, and I happen to be a Christian Minister. It is NOT unusual for this to happen to men. The male reproductive system constantly produces sperm cells and semen...and if the fluid is not 'used' it is either released in a passive way or reabsorbed into the body. The body wil always look for the path of least resistance. During a massage, our bodies are touched, and become relaxed. For many men, the touching (although not remotely arousing) causes the ejaculation. For many, the simple relaxation cause the body to release the fluid. Consider this, if your body does not release or reabsorb the fluid, you will become uncomfortable.

As a professional, I have never examined sheets after a massage...that would just be wierd. As a male client, I have had the embarrassing experience myself. My therapist and I don't mention it...not really a normal conversation.

Ok, to sum up...as a regular Joe who IS an MT, it is not uncommon. It is just What your personal body does when it finally relaxes...my guess is you may be a high stress person.

hope that helps

And to add...I am an American MT, trained in the US. And NONE of the MT's I know in my city in Cambodia "go the extra mile." The man above really needs to seek out therapy of a DIFFERENTtype as well as an education on what our profession is. I was trained by an RN, not a street walker.
