Geriatric Medicine FAILs senior citizens miserably.

Geriatric doctors or medicine in general suck senior patients into the vortex of cya and pharmaceutical medicine.

They fail to grasp the big picture of fitness and nutrition. It is simple production line get the heck out of my office you are done fool medicine.

One of the biggest example of geriatric medical FAILURES is they way they treat simple senior conditions like swelling in the legs. What do these lazy chicken sh%t posers called docTORs do most of the time-they recommend DRUGS. Fluid in the legs can frequently be partialy attributed to the lack of muscle tone. You need enough muscle tone to help move blood and fluid especially from the extremities. So instead of prescribing rehab including the strengthening and flexibility of the legs they give them drugs and tell them do nothing stay off their exacerbating other condition including muscle tone and cardio fitness or LACK there of. Then the body deteriorates further.

By the way I eliminated swelling in my legs after a leg injury & surgery with NO prescription drugs. With in 24 hours of starting rehab the swelling went down in my leg. I had elephant legs, black and blue toe nails and couldn't put a shoe or sock on at times. But again with in 24 hours of starting rehab swelling reduced. By the end of the first month I had lost almost all swelling. Again NO prescription drugs. Simple toe raises wound up being one of the best things I did to reduce swelling.

Is it too much to prescribe a couple sets of toe raises a couple times a day for seniors with leg swelling?

It's very frustrating to see seniors with no existing or pre existing leg problems being told to do NOTHING-just wait to die in a gooey chemical mess from pharmaceutical cya medicine.

There are a lot of vagina sh%t senior citizens out there as well after decades of indoctrination by the cya big pharma doctors who fail miserably to realize and apply the benefits of things like fitness. Too many seniors actually expect and wait for the doctor to prescribe them drugs. They actually want a pharmaceutical solution. Or if it can't be handled by one surgical procedure they ASSume nothing else can be done.

The medical community also fails to teach their patients to differentiate from discomfort and pain from actual damage. This is why many seniors don't want to work out or will only work out under in a class or supervision. They can't push themselves.

It's pretty well established that the lack of fitness is affecting young people in extreme ways. Well Duh, WHAT THE FRACK does so called the geriatric medicine community think will happen with a lack of fitness in seniors. WTF

FITNESS, Rehab and nutrition for seniors. NOT drugs or lazy butted incompetent and ignorant "docTORs". DocTORs are basically body mechanics yet they lack the ability to tune up the body of a senior or young person in far too many cases.
