While osteoporosis may also occur in aging men, the bone disease has indeed been especially common in postmenopausal women. Aside from agitating symptoms of menopause, women also have to go through the physical challenges of osteoporosis in the event that a fracture occurs. It is somehow ironic how bisphosphonate drugs such as Fosamax, medications that have been formulated to prevent fractures, may also cause a type of fracture to some of its users. Relevant material from http://www.fosamaxfemurfracturelawsuit.com may be of great help to those who may be needing assistance.
