Retirees won't be coming here to live anyway after they take away the homestead so why bother? This super exemption hurts every service associated with people of retirement age. Doctor, lawyers etc.
Retirees need to start looking elsewhere for retirement living. Possibly outside this country. Dominican Republic is popular I hear and medications are half the price. Well hell everything is half the price. Even real estate with an ocean view is affordable and the hurricanes don't bother the north side of the island.
