geriatrics students motivation

I'm a Master student in University of Geneva, Switzerland. We are currently conducting a research on medical students' motivation to study geriatrics. We are working with the university hospital, as they want to attract more students in the domain but do not know how to do so.
Do you have any idea what would make geriatrics more interesting for students (not by just increasing salaries)? Perhaps more time flexibility or making geriatrics a more prestigious career choice?
All your answers are welcome, and thank you so much for your help!
Wishing everyone the very very best,
