Getting into a PhD or DRPH program in epidemiology

I'm interested in starting a PhD or DRPH program, but didn't do excellent in my undergraduate and graduate degree with just slightly greater than a B average in both. On top of it I did my Master's in epidemiology through the university of London External Programme which might hurt me since it isn't a traditional on campus program. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I might strengthen my now weak application.
