Sample size calculation in an experimental study

i'm planning to conduct an experimental study and i'm little confused as to how i should decide the sample size for the 2 groups.

there are so many confusing equations in the net, but as person with little epidemiology knowledge i'm finding it difficult understand.

please tell me an easy way of calculation the sample size.
