Excellent article!!! I have gone to doctor after doctor and mentioned my adrenals due to my extreme exhaustion, weight gain, etc. I also have very low blood pressure, my temperature runs about 96.8, and get extreme motion sickness always-these may be unrelated. They act like I'm suggesting that maybe my fifth kidney is acting up! I've finally realized I need to take matters of treatment into my own hands by either following guidelines from some of these suggested websites and/or seeking out a naturopath or acupuncturist. Thanks for writing this detailed account.

To all who have suffered or are suffering with the VERY REAL effects of the adrenal hormones not allowing 'fight' but have taken a 'flight' from their overworked hormonal duties and thus abandoned the regulation of cortisol, dopamine, GABA, aldosteone, nor-adrenalin axis, and thus disturbed and dyfunctioned the INSULIN hormone in the endocrine system, either VERY BADLY (IE STAGE 1- OR IF IGNORED CAN GO TO STAGE 2 AND 3 BEFORE ADRENALOSIS IE FAILURE OF ADRENAL HORMONES TO WORK AS IN ADDISONS DISEASE -THAT WOULD BE CALLED STAGE 4) as Dr Wilson quite rightly says in his book Adrenal Fatigue (2002), take heart - there is loads for the patient to do with loads of Intgrative drs/healthcare Consultants taking this VERY seriously and knowing that treatment with clinical nutrition, minus all salt and sugar, daily and gluten esp, and many other omissions but eating 3 hrly PROTEIN AND LOW MONO UNSATURATES will help with filtered water and specific supplementaltion as above adaptogens, SIBERIAN GINSENG, L-Theanine and Taurine for anxiety, Ester C 4 gms at 3 x's a day, MG Glycinate 3gms at least also tds, and many other lifestyle changes are necessary NOT TO KEEP REPESTING THIS PROGRESSIVE AND REFRESSIVE cycle. I am in Southern Africa, the Head of Fibromyalgia, Adrenal Fatigue, Cfids/ME, CFS et al. I am in remission from all but the v occassional Adrenal Fatigue (now stage 1 from stage 3, as I 'catch myself overdoing and recognise the 1st symptoms and change my game up sothat I recover overnight, go back to remission within 24 hrs, using the same protocol I teach!) Nothing like self responsibility and knowledge! Good 27828768777. Sharon Levin
