Gynecomastia symptoms for 6 months

I've had gynecomastia symptoms, minor puffy nipples, for 6-7 months from prohormone I took for 1 month last September. Would treatment with tamoxifen still be effective? I go to see an endo soon, should I get me estrogen levels tested before I go so he can prescribe medication?
