About 5-6 weeks ago, a handful of small pink/red spots (about the size of a pencil eraser) appeared under my chest. I bought Cortaid (hydrocortisone) and they faded away, but the bottle ran out and they came back. Since then, many more have appeared depsite the use of another hydrocortisone product. There are now about 25 spots total and they are under my chest and around my belly button and waistline, and seem to be turning a darker shade of red each day. They are barely raised off the skin (if at all), there is no itching, no burning, no warts, no pus, I have no other health problems, good hygiene, etc.

I found only one pic online that resembles my "rash"...by searching Yahoo Images for "skin stomach" (the pic of bare-chested man).

My doctor's appointment isn't until 10 days and I'm afraid waiting too long will lead to bigger problems. After 2 weeks of on-line searching, I have tentatively concluded that it is NOT any of the following (pardon spelling):

psoriasis
HIV/AIDS
tinea versicolor
heat rash
sweat rash
dermatitis
eczema
hives
rosacea
angiomas

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and take care

You may have Pityriasis Rosea which is a skin diesease but not severe at all, and most of the time there is no itching or irritation with the spots. Most likely they will go away in 2 to 8 weeks.

I have this too and I think it's Pityriasis Rosea. There is no cure, it's not contagious, apparently a virus and clears up on it's own. If it itches, it can be treated with cortaid. I am going to the dr just to rule out a fungal thing, but since it doesn't itch, I really think it's Pityriasis Rosea.

I have the same thing (at least it sounds like the same thing). I did start taking a new medicine, but that was like a month ago. I just upped my dosage of it over a week ago, but I didnt start seeing spots until two days ago, which makes me think that its not that because Im pretty sure I wouldve started reacting within 24-48 hours of upping it. Im just trying to go through my brain and think of anything new I couldve eatin or drank or came in contact with. I just cant think of anything. I guess I will give it a few more days and see if it clears up.
Please let me know if it went away or if it spread. Either way, Im probably going to have to go to the doctors...this blows.

I noticed some splotches on my stomach and under my breasts about a year ago. They look like little paint splatters. They do not itch or burn, I almost forget about them until I'm about to get in the shower and see them. I'm stubborn and not a huge fan of doctors unless I'm in intense pain. I've looked up everything and can't seem to find answers. If anyone has any idea what it could be, please email me @ [email protected]

I would very much appreciate it.

I had something that sounds similar to this about a year ago. Pinkish/red spots on my stomach, lower back, and a few on my arms. Didn't hurt or itch. My doctor said it was mostly likely some sort of fungus (kind of like ringworm) and prescribed me some anitfungal cream. They were gone after 1-2 weeks of using that cream.
