Hi again everyone, we should all definitly use this forum for support, and if I come across any other discussions similar, i'll post it here.I do remember some girl telling me her witch doctor recommended prune juice and lemon juice or something I can't remember...but I doubt that would help. The guy that had talked about the suana..that would help, but if your symptoms are like mine, it would be a temporary solution that you would need to use everyday ...but it's better than nothing.
i've tried several non drowsy antihistamines, as well but they did not work for me.

I have been also feeling these sharp prickly feelings all over my body for almost 6 months now. Some days would be worse than others and its really depressing. I feel like been stabbed or bitten by something. I also have this burning tongue syndrome where the tongue constantly feels as it had been scalded.
Any suggestions to help me?

Hi there, i've had the same prickly itching symptoms for around 4 or 5 months, it started off in the summer really where my head would just itch unbearably when doing something that raised my temperature, now it has seriously gotten worse, its a kind of sharp itching (lots of small ones) from the backs of my hands, up the arms, neck, face, and the whole of my torso. I am now getting it anytime i get slightly nervous or aggrovated, initially i thought it could be that i wasnt hydrating enough but after a few weeks of drinking water regularly and moisturising, im still getting it. I do agree that its most likely psychological, even just reading this thread has caused it to happen again, its really getting unbearable now but atleast i know im not the only one with the problem, thanks for raising the issue.

Well I have had this same problem for many years about 8-10 years to be exact. It only happens in the months of November- Feb. here in Houston, TX. I have been to many Dr. but none of them really understand what goes on with me. I only experience the needle sensation when I have a sudden temp. change on my skin or if I get nervous. I use a drug called Hydroxyzine it does help but makes me drowsy for the rest of the day.

Wow thats exactly what happened to me. Exactly. Started off with extreme itchy head. I tried tons of different shampoo's and nothing. Then the stinging came.

Its at a point where i cant take it anymore....I'm even afraid to sneeze now because after i sneeze the stinging feeling instantly comes up.

Hi All,

Did anyone else get an itchy scalp?

I did but never realised it was connected to the burning sensations. I had an itchy scalp for around two weeks and even brought anti itch shampoos and conditioners.

My condition is still pretty mild at the moment, but i'm aware that from the experience of other suffer's it comes and goes.

Again, like evryone else, i am really glad for this Forum. keep in touch everyone.

Damn I have a class presentation coming up so I hope I can keep the stinging to a minimum. This will be my first class presentation since I first got this stinging problem.

I have to say all of this is anxiety related,4 weeeks ago i went back the gym and jumped on a treadmil for an hour,I sweated like i have never sweated before it seems to have cured the needle like pain by 90% the most horrible needle pain all of us have suffered and no one took any notice of,I belive exercise helped me,

however I had an extreme panic attack 2 weeeks ago followed by the itchy scalp and neck, its all stress related,I still get the odd stinging itch pain and my gp has told me everthing from the burning skin and itching stinging pain is the brains way of combating this anxiety condition,I am on knew meds now and i hope they help, hang in there and look at stress as being a major factor in this condition, dont give up our bodies will compensate for this pain i neverthought the needle pain would go it has,and comes back now and again but only in a mider way, see your doc get some meds, also exersise is great forthsi ass is meditation.

regards all. peter

Yup...class presentation went horribly wrong. Before i even got to the front of the class the stinging started...and when I finally started talking, the stinging was so bad I could hardly remember what I was supposed to talk about. This can't go on....

Oh no, i am sorry to hear that.
has it calmed down now?

My ex husband has sabotaged the sale of my house, for a brief moment the buring sensations came back really strong, i had to tell myself to control my stress levels. Seems to be calming down but still irratating. I reckon i will have to chill out this weekend to help the symptoms stay at a minimum.

Hope your weekend goes ok.

Well add me to the list. I don't have any burning or redness but whenever I sweat I get 10,000 needles pricking my skin. Seems to be mostly my head and torso. I've searched the net for any info and have found nothing. I'm 23 years old and have been recently diagnosed by my psychiatrist as having social anxiety and performance anxiety so I'm thinking it's probably anxiety/stress related. Just started new meds for the anxiety, maybe it will get rid of this too.

July I had a numbing sensation on my left side near my belly button. It spread to my left side torso. It "mutated"into a searing pricky itchy sensation. Absolutely no rash. It seems not to be digestive related. Now I feel the searing pricklies randomly all over my body, but the concentration is on my left side torso.I've had x rays done which were inconclusive.I've tried the cold/warm compress to no avail. It's not stress related I can honestly say I'm not stressed, but since this sensation that I find no relief for, I "now" become depressed when it hits full force. I have this pins and needles sensation all over my body, but mainly on my arms, back and torso. This has been going on for 2 years straight. I've been to a dermatogist, rheumatologist, and now I'm at a neurologist. He thought I might have MS, but my MRI were negative, he did an EEG or EMG (not sure) in order to test my nerves and that also came back negative. My doctor did prescribe me with a drug called Amitripaline(sp)and it has helped quit a bit.

I am fine in the morning. I get up at 7am. No pricklies or pins.
As the day wears on, they start in. By 5-7pm, I am going nuts.

Mainly in my thighs where I sit or pants bind. But pricklies and pins started in legs and progressed up my back. Like others said, spots that come and go everywhere else on my body.
Doc prescribed Lyrica (side effect:feel like I smoked a joint, gained 10 pounds rapidly) and it works. I have been getting worse. I don't buy the RLS (restless leg thing) because I don't want to move my legs and the sensations are completely superficial. I had my old lyme doc run a full lyme/tick borne disease panel on me and I came back clean as a whistle. He put me on folic acid and B12.
ANY ONE ELSE FEEL FINE IN THE MORNING AND HAVE SYMPTOMS INCREASE THROUGHOUT THE DAY?
