I live in Europe and have this problem for many many years: crawling and biting sensations in my hairs and clothes, especially at night. I have no visible symptoma that I could show. When I turn on the light, the crawling just disappears. I tried all kinds of solutions but they do not erradicate the problem. People around me might also suddenly scratch their head or so and I feel terribly guilty. My family does NOT have this feeling, they all think I am crazy but I know I am not, my mental and intellectual equilibrium is rather excellent. The only relief I have, to get to sleep, is to put some limon juice on me, try it out and let know your observations here. I made lots of investigation on the net and this is the very first forum where I can notice some people having the same exact symptoma as me. I am convinced that many people have this problem but they don't know it, therefore if you get rid of it, it conmes back through someone else ...

This will not make you feel any better, but go to birdmites.org The problem could be bird or rodent mites. While reading the site you will itch more than you do now, but there are lots of possibly helpful tips and treatments.

Ok, I had this problem and I solved it.

I used many things, so I am not sure which one fixed it, but here is the list.

Arid Extra Dry spray kills mites. Its the alluminum chlorhydrate that kills them. Use it on your bed on your body.

Neem Oil spray. Buy some pure neem oil, and mix it with water in a sprayer. Immediate relief. Bugs HATE Neem oil.

Diatomaceous Earth, food grade. Sprinkle this all over carpets, mites hate this stuff, it cuts them up, dehydrates them and they die.

Please let me know how this worked for you.

Also, there's a product called Ecomite, for lawns .

Also,

for pets with mite's and mange who are itchy and rashy, mix hydrogen peroxide , water, and borax powder together, and put on dog, let dry on dog.

mites will be killed.

This is the link,

This works on people too!!

I hope you all are feeling better soon!

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes, "The best cure for dog mange is to mix a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution with water and add borax. Dissolve thoroughly. Wash the dog with it once a week. Do NOT WASH THE solution left on the dog with ANY WATER. Do not wipe the dog dry. The solution will take effect on mange. The treatment period should not be longer than a month or two. The dog will probably not be resistant as the treatment is painless. This has worked well for me."

Wow I am really surprised that there are actually people that have this same crawling problem as me. I can't sleep and everytime I look down, whether I am in class, on the couch, or in my bed I don't see anything. I thought I was going crazy because all the doctors I went to told me that I was perfectly fine and even the skin doctor did not have any answers for me.
I have already moved and sold my big bed (which I thought was the problem) but I still feel things crawl on me and I look and there is nothing there.
I have re-washed all my stuff in hot water so many times, allplied the creme the doctor gave me and took too many hot baths to try to scrape those things off me.
NOTHING IS WORKING !!! WHY ARE THERE DOCTORS IF THEY CAN'T CURE ME.
I NEED HELP, I JUST WANT MY LIFE BACK, NO MORE CRAWLING.
PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS FOUND A SOLUTION OR CAN REFER ME TO A REAL PROFESSIONAL ..

You are a complete idiot. I don't drink much coffee, don't use bleach or other chemicals, and don't have any pets, and don't do drugs.
Try putting yourself in my shoes, your sitting in class and all of a sudden you feel something crawl on you,
like any normal person you look down to see if there is a bug on you in order to kill it but there is nothing there.
then it happens on a different part of the body.
Now you tell me what the hell I should do?

I believe I have this very same problem. I'm on my last straw and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I don't want to spread it to anybody else.
Where should I go to seek help, I don't want to go to doctors that don't know what it is?

A few hours after leaving the County Health Department (Tuesday 9/9/08) I developed a painful "zit" at the neck/chin line. Noticed it had a dark splinter look inside. Took out a needle... no luck - wasn't coming out. So, out came the Peroxide - wiped it all around. Instant fire! Skin turned white and blistered. Then it happened. Crawling sensations matching up with new bumps, some having slight trails. Since everything is always in my head... figured I'd better try to fix this before saying anything. Spent the next 12 hours covered in flea/tick dog shampoo. Couldn't help but notice the black specks and various colors of fiber/lint.

To confirm this was coming out of me, I took several more showers... scrubbing every inch. This causes dry skin - almost immediately after applying an oil lotion, the black specks began appearing again. Last night (Saturday) I saved all the questionable specs on white paper. I quit looking over an hour later when they just kept showing up. Must have something to show the doc!

I think I was infested on purpose...

I am feeling very much like the one man who is considering suicide...i am out of answers. I have had this problem for about 3 or 4 yrs now, since we discovered a birds nest in the roof of our home. I have moved twice, and still...have a crawling, itching sensation all over my body. It affects my social life as well as my professional, because i dont want to date anyone, for fear of infecting them, and at work, I constantly see people around me scratching violently..right after coming into contact with me..and no, its not my imagination. i have tried numerous amounts of pesticides, lice shampoos, washing, soaking, etc - not to mention the amount of money - and nothing has worked. i have no life anymore...so what is the point of living?????????? i am 25..and quite frankly, i just dont see any other way out of this..other than to rid myself of my body..

my itching started when my dog got attacked by a racoon and I held him at the vet for several hours. first it was a boil on the top of my foot, then some stinging and crawlibg sebsation after the evil boil burst open. then i got another one on the inside of my thigh, huge, and it burst open, then more cysts, and a cycle of crawling, biting, skin eruptions and an itch that makes me think about killing myself. ev3eryone is convinced i have delusional parasitosis. fuck them, this is not my imagination.

my partner felt bed bugs on holiday in formentera the one night we stayed in a cheap hotel, he immediately felt crawling sensations, i didn't get it until 2 days later. was horribly, truly horrible. back home we washed scrubbed bleached used cream for lice, threw out sofas. the body lice lyclear cream reduced it (use heavy duty hair lice cream at the same time) but we did about 10 packets each.when we moved we had new carpets and mattresses, it died down and when it returned it was much less overpowering. we steam cleaned carpets and mattresses, now it only comes back every now and again,we always get it the same time, we think it's something that lives in clothes (once i found a theory that washing clothes abroad and leaving them out to dry could attract mites). throw out what you don't need, steam iron everything, hoover bedding, sofas weekly. eat healthily drink lots of water, get your hair died, the chemicals possibly help to kill them, imagine it is something toxic in your blood stream not parasite (it'll help you feel better mentally and make you live healthier and be more positive that you can flush it out). keep a diary of what you eat and what you wear - a pain but worth it, it's not like the doctors of specialists we've seen know anything, do yours?! one specialist assumed we're on drugs. yes it could be a chemical epidemic soon to plight more (this forum came up first on google, when i last researched on the internet a year ago i had to dig very deep only to find bits about Morgollons Disease. it's been expensive, but we're off holidays for a long time. we didn't give up fighting it mentally and physically, so don't you. good luck.

Dental Toxicities http://www.parasitetesting.com/
Digestive health starts in the mouth: For many patients, dental and digestive health seem to go hand in hand. Currently there are a multitiude of procedures and materials that have been developed by the dental industry to promote dental health, not to mention to ward off infections and improve oral hygiene. Manufacturers of dental materials spare no effort to provide dentists with the widest array of amalgams, composites, sealants, varnishes, cements, adhesives, pastes, etc. We all know about mercury and heavy metal toxicity; see for example, Ziff (2002). What we did not know about is the involvement of dental sealants (liners in the causation of a newly discovered disorder called neurocutaneous syndrom (NCS)(Amin, 2003, 2004).
NCS is a disorder that degrades the skin (cutaneous tissue) and neurological system of patients who have been treated with sealants during filling or root canal procedures. Patients sensitive to sulfa are especially susceptible to experiencing the neurological and dermatological toxicity symptoms of NCS. Neurological symptoms include but are not limitited to pinprick and/or creeping, painful, and irritating movement sensations, often interpreted as loss of memory, and light sensitivity may also be experienced. The cutaneous aspects include the development of small itchy sores or inflamed, elevated, pimples that may eventually evolve into painful open lesions with a tendency to spread. General symptoms include compromised immune system, fatigue, and psychological trauma.
A complete description of NCS symptoms, the syndrome, compounding factors, and the toxic sealants, with case histories and treatment protocols, is given by Amin (2003, 2004) Dental practitioners should be aware of the adverse effects of using sealants, and employ this knowledge to safeguard the well being of their patiesnt.
