Did you both get herpes test by the way? just wondering.
No we both didn't get tested for herpes. We recently were tested for STDs prior to dating and we were both clear. Then we were friends for about five months before even having sex. We were together about seven months before it happened...so it's unlikely that we would both just randomly get herpes outbreaks at the exact same time after knowing previously that we were in the clear. I truly think it is a bacterial/fungal thing that we pass back and forth.

I have dealt with the same condition for over two years. Initially it was a small spot, then the inflammation spread into larger patches that would become almost callused - the skin was not what it used to be. For a long time I didn't know how to deal with it, as most moisturizers didn't help. I also tried vitamin E with little success. Often as soon as the condition improved, sexual activity would start the whole process over.
However, I started to make some progress by using Desitin when the skin is very irritated and moist, and then Vaseline or Neosporin when it is dry. Try not to peel off the skin when it flakes - it will come off in a bath or shower naturally. Most of all, leave your pickle alone for a couple of nights, you know what I mean?

been dealing with similar problems. Mine started when my wife had a yeast infection. I had the cuts etc, but also peeling. The dr put me on lamicil for a couple weeks. That stopped the peeling but there is still irritation. I'm using petrolium jelly to keep it moist. that seems to help.

my advice:
luke-warm showers
keep it lubed
if you have sex, go quick and get off your girl without intercourse

If you do have a yeast infection you need to get it treated asap. avoid beer as this will make a yeast infection worse. The creams didn't really help. I had to be put on something that would get to the root of the problem.

OK... final comments... the $4, Equate, Miconazole Nitrate vaginal cream did the trick. Improvement showed after three days, and was almost gone on the seventh day. I applied the cream for one more day then that was it. Eight days and totally cured. Almost the whole 1.59 oz tube was used up.

The Walgreens Aloe Vera cream was also awesome for itch relief. I'll always keep a tube of that stuff handy from now on.

Good luck all.

SOLUTION: I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM DESCRIBED BY MANY ABOVE. IT WAS DRY SKIN UNDER THE HEAD OF THE PENIS THAT WOULD CAUSE TINY CUTS THAT WERE PAINFUL AND WOULD NOT HEAL DUE TO THEIR LOCATION. MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ALCLOMETASONE DIPR 0.05%. IT'S AN OITMENT THAT I APPLIED THREE TIMES A DAY FOR TWO WEEKS. I ALSO APPLIED AQUAPHOR HEALING OITMENT OVER THE OTHER STUFF TO MOISTURIZE AND HELP HEAL THE CUTS. IT WORKED ON A VERY BAD CASE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually have a steroid/antifungal cream that was prescribed.....but the doctor told me to only use it when itching. I think i'm going to just use it routine for 2 weeks and see if my pickle problem will clear up!! Thanks dude!!

Hey all. I've had a similar problem for the past 4 months. At first I noticed a raw area appearing at on the top of my penis, below the head. This was there for a couple of weeks before disappearing, but leaving a burning sensation (generally just under the head on either side) which hasn't gone away at all. I've been to the GP and had all the STD checks - I'm clean. The second time I went he said it was eczema. This whole thing came about around the time I went to a therapeutic chinese massage place, and got a hand job thrown as a bonus. I've never had eczema anywhere before, so all I can think it could be is herpes. Surely I couldn't catch that from a handjob? Especially after she's spent the previous hour massaging me with oil?

Anyway, I was prescribed hydrocortisone ointment 1% which is supposed to relieve the burning. It didn't. I was also prescribed Pimafucort ointment, which contains hydrocotisone, an anti-fungal steroid and an anti-bacterial. Given I've been trying miconazole nitrate cream too with no result, i doubt this will work either. I haven't really used it after the hyrdocortisone didn't work, but will be trying it next...

Anyway, no lesions have appeared in months which means I can't get tested for herpes, but the burning remains. Obviously I haven't had sex this entire period either because I don't know what the hell I've got and wouldn't want to spread it, let alone feel extremely self conscious.

If anyone has any ideas/suggestions I'd really appreciate it. I'd consider trying anything right now. I'm even thinking of buying bloody tea tree oil.

Thanks.

Hey bud, I know the feeling man!! I've been frustrated with the same type deal for about 2 years now!! I've been to 3 different doctors (dermatologist, and reg. physician) and all have said that it's definitely nothing bad (STD) and my wife has had pap smear and came back clean!! All have said that it's a dermatitis and have given me nystatin with triamicilone (antifungal with potent steroid)-i've been using this consistently for about 5 days and it seems to be working well!! Keep your fingers crossed dude!! Maybe you can ask for this and see if it helps. Dude, don't get frustrated- but it's hard not to when your pickle is not right!!! LOL... I'm going to use this for another week (2 weeks total) and see if it helps clear things up!! I can't wait to have a good stronged skin pecker like I once had!! I've been soaking in warm baths with a 1/2 cup of bleach and it's been doing me well....maybe it's killing the bacteria/fungus that may have been on the skin of my pecker!!.. not really sure though... so try this: warm baths with 1/2 cup bleach, soft pecker scrubbs with non abrasive towels, don't jack from the head but use the base of pecker to get off until it completely heals ( I know this is hard to do man...but you got to get relief some how), and get that nystatin with triamicilone cream and hopefully that will take care of it!! I will check back with you in a bout a week and let you know how it went.

Vincent, hang in there man.... I've been dealing with this for about 2 years now and just now starting to get a little relief since using the antifungal/steroid cream- nystatin with triaminclone prescribed by one of the dermatologist. I can't identify the cause of the irritation but I swear this didn't start until my wife had a real bad yeast infection and around the same time she had an IUD inserted!! I have caught hell ever since dude!! All the doctors say that I have a dermatitis (contact, allergic, and seberrohic).. but I don't think they really know what it is!! Thank GOD it's not herpes or anything like that!!! Let me know how it goes man with the new regimen!!

Update:
Went to the dermatologist for the second time. Still some more warts to be frozen, it doesn't hurt that much. To explain a little better - the doctor get a torch of liquid nitrogen, then sprays the penor for like 10 seconds. There is a slight burning sensation, but no big deal.

It's like $119 a visit, yeah my insurance sucks. The first round seemed to get them pretty well, hopefully the second round will get rid of them. Some of the warts are barely visible, you need a magnifying glass to see them.

He gave me some aldara cream, which is like 100 bucks for 12 little packets. I think this is too much and if any come back I'm going to freeze them myself.

I bought to compound w freeze off and I'm going to use it if they come back. It's basically the same liquid nitrogen as the torch he has. Well it is the same thing, but the torch the doctor has is more precise. However, freeze off is 19.99 compared to 119 you will pay at the doctor.

Of course I would not recommend this, unless you've been to a doctor to make sure it's genital warts.

I mean the doctor put a freaking torch to my penor, it's not going to be any different with the freeze off. It's just like any type of warts, just on your genitals.

Anyway, just thought this might help someone.
