Update:
My doc was correct. What I have must be a fungal infection. It is dying off from the Monistat knock-off (generic Miconazole Nitrate Vaginal Cream (2%)). All sores are gone. It looks completely healed like nothing happened after only 3 days (I will finish the full seven though to avoid recurrence).
How long did you say you had this? Also if you look at your penor did it have like any kind of excessive skin or was it just red irritation?

well the Monistat 2% treatment worked in less than a week and the area is totally better. i'm so relieved not to have had it biopsied by the doctor prematurely. masturbating wasn't a problem either.

A few years ago, I noticed that my foreskin seemed to be growing back with redness and swelling. I went to the doctor and he was baffeled. He suggested a biopsy, after a few nervous days... I returned and he said it was Lichen Planus a skin disorder. But he also wanted me to take a hepatitus C screen, which was negative. I think I finally figured out what has happened, a few months earlier I had the hepatits B vaccine and that probably caused the Lichen Planus... But now every so often I will develop these fine line cracks with redness, similarly to what others in this blog have posted, but this usually only happens after I have had a prolonged hand session with Libriderm. I thought perhaps the chemicals in Libriderm where irritating and causing this cracking skin with blisters, recently while wife was gone, I had a hand session, this time with warming lotion and today, I notice the sore again, but it looks like it may have a brownish type similar to a scab on it this time. I am so glad I found this blog. What Reddick says makes sense? Also my growing foreskin has not abated. Any other suggestions or help?

I have the same problem too. The problem is that every time I get an erection it stretches the skin and prevents it from healing. It's pretty difficult to prevent erections when sleeping. I'm wondering if I should find a way to prevent getting erections for a week or two. Any ideas?
Try taking effexor for 2 weeks, it will zap those nocturnal hards.

I suffered from this for years before finding an answer and cure and would love to tell yall because it was miserable for me. It turns out it is a yeast infection for guys. But it is one that settles in the prostate. So creams and what not over the counter will not fix it. Go to the doctor get a three day dosage of Fluconazole 150mg it is an oral pill taken once a day for three days. And ciclopirox cream .77% made by Fougera you can put on the infected areas. It took seven hours after taking the first pill and most of my infected areas had already began to heal with out forming that shiny layer of skin over it that you know is gonna be weak and be busted right off again the first time you have sex or what not. I am just happy to be rid of it and to be able to share an answer with yall hopefully to rebuild your lifestyle again.
How did you know it was in your prostate? Did you take a PSA blood test?

I've had three similar problems over the years. I'm 50.

First was a fungus I got while in Central America in 1985. It affected my inner thighs. An anti-fungal powder my doc gave me did the trick after about two weeks.

Ten years later, I started getting odd little blisters on my penis, which didn't hurt, and just rubbed off. I went to my doc and first thing he said was "what kind of soap are you using?" I was using Coast or Irish-Spring at the time. He suggested I switch to something really mild, like plain old Ivory soap. That solved that problem.

Now I have another problem. I hit a deer a few days ago with my truck. I stopped to survey the damage. A cop stopped and asked if I wanted the deer... I thought, why not? It was crushed pretty badly... but I figured even if it was too smashed for me to eat, my dogs might like it. So I get it home and skin it... then during the process, I have to piss. I wiped my bloody hands with a paper towel, and then took the piss. After I gave the deer to my dogs, I showered and went to bed... next morning... I have a red rash where I touched my penis that night.

So I'm thinking... maybe the deer had poison ivy or something on it's fur? Maybe because it was busted up so bad that it had some fungus or bacteria or something that got on my hands? Anyway, only my penis is affected.

I have some Hydrocortisone 2 1/2% cream I use to stop the itching I get from occasional hemorrhoids, but it barely helped with this penis irritation. After reading one post here about using Aloe Vera gel, I bought some at a local drug store we have here in the Chicagoland area, Walgreens. It was cheap ($3) and has stopped the itching nicely for over two hours so far. I'll post again when I've tested it further.

I'm on my way to WalMart now to buy some of the Miconazole Nitrate vaginal cream mentioned in another post here... and see if that helps clear this up. I'll post about how it worked for me later.

PS: The gel from Walgreens is: Aloe Vera Gel, Cools and Soothes Naturally. The Gel is green. They also make a blue gel with Menthol, but that can burn sensitive skin. I tried the blue menthol variety once on some sunburned skin and it made it hurt worse. The green gel solved that problem too.

Battle Story: I think Ive had these symptoms for 6 or 7 weeks now. 2 months ago I had a 4 day weekend with a lovely young lady and we had unprotected sex 15 or 16 times. It had been too long without sex for the both of us. Then the following weekend I slept with anoher girl unprotected and she had some stubble. The sex was relatively normal though, nothing too aggressive. Started with a small cut (similar to a paper cut) right under the head of my dick with some redness down the shaft. Since noticing it, Ive masturbated every couple days or so but the symptoms always seemed to get worse. A little more redness, dry flaking skin the next day, more sensitivity. Around the same time I switched soaps so yesterday I went back to the normal dove soap I always used before. I'm going to follow Reddick's advice and go with the Miconazole vaginal cream and petroleum jelly masturbating sessions. I will also blow dry or air dry my action after showers. I go to the gym every day and will continue to do so. Oh, when I was in boot camp (PI) I got a yeast infection on my balls, apparently not that uncommon down there, and it was nothing like this. Alright, good luck to each of you and I'll give you a progress report in a few days.

I also need to add that the past three or four months have probably been the most stressful of my life. Stress and anxiety were mentioned earlier and I know they can have affects on your body.

For about two months now, my boyfriend has had occasional "break outs" where his penis looks dry and then when it gets erect, it cracks and later forms a little scab. However, around the time it started, I noticed that I was feeling discomfort around my vagina. This kept happening... we thought it was cleared up and would have sex and the same thing would happen. It was obvious that I had an infection because my vagina hurt and I was sure it was like a yeast infection and I thought we were just spreading it back and forth.
I had him go to the doctor because I had done previous research and thought he may have a male yeast infection that we kept spreading to each other. I was very angry when the nurse at the clinic took one look and just said, "looks like herpes." He even mentioned getting checked for bacteria like yeast, and she dismissed him like it doesn't exist.
Basically, I feel like bacteria infection is way common in males, just like females getting yeast infections. I know that yeast is an overgrowth of bacteria and you need to balance your body with probiotics (the good bacteria). I went to whole foods and you can buy an endless variety of probiotic vitamins designed to fight yeast like candida imbalances. One my boyfriend started taking those, the cracks and soreness (and itching) all cleared up. The second we ran out of vitamins, we noticed that a small cut came back and he's back on the vitamins now. It seems to help. I don't think doctors always rule out the minor stuff like maybe you and your partner had a bit of rough sex that wasn't well lubed and she may had had stubble and there was already bacteria lurking under the surface...and wham you get a sore vagina and a cracking painful penis. They don't look at things like bacteria which can be easily cured, they seem to want to jump to the most negative diagnosis without hearing you out.
Hope this helps and good luck to all you with a penis, as a woman I feel for you.

Progress Report.

I bought the "Equate brand" Miconazole Nitrate cream at WalMart. Cost $4. Interesting that the same stuff, Walgreens brand cost $9 (on sale), and the Name brand, listed for $14.

I've been applying it twice daily, since Monday evening. Also, every time I piss, I add a small amount to the head of my penis where the urine has washed it away.

The Miconazole cream does well at relieving the itching and burning... not entirely, but enough that I've been able to sleep at night, for at least five hours. At which point I wake up and add some of the Walgreens Green Aloe Vera gel... which has been GREAT at relieving any itching and burning.

In the morning, I wash my penis with warm water, then apply more Miconazole cream. During the day, if it starts to itch, I add some of the Aloe Vera gel. Before bedtime, I wash again with warm water, and add more Miconazole cream.

So far, the swelling is getting less each day, and the redness is easing up.

So the jury is still out on if the Miconazole cream will cure me... but what I DO know for sure, is the Aloe Vera gel works GREAT for relieving any itching and burning. From now on there will always be a tube of that stuff in my Med-Kit.

I really don't know if your a doctor. The thing is you can't even spell right. Well anyway, I know I don't have what you just mention. I checked it on line and that's not it. The only thing it could be is excessive skin. But I'm going to the dermatologist in 2 days and we will see. I think he just going to say it's nothing, because I've been to 4 doctors about this. I not getting a biopsy. I will try to get some cream or something. I not getting my ding dong cut unless he says it's the only way to remove the excessive skin.

Do get a biopsy, it is a walk in the park.

BTW, I also found that a cream produced by Equate called Vagicaine (generic Vagisil?) relieves the itch and most of the pain right away -- and makes me last looooong time (probably by numbing the penile skin).

UPDATE:
Ok went to the dermatologist and he looked at it and said 'YES THAT IS WORTS'. I was like wtf, I been to 2 general practitioners and 1 urologist and they said it wasn't.
Well anyway he got the liquid nitrogen out and said do you want to get some cream or take them off now?
I was damn take them off now!!! It's been like 7 years of this crap. Anyway, it didn't hurt that bad a all. It's all blistered up now and I have to apply Vaseline on it for a week.
I go back in 3 weeks to see if everything is cleared up.
Backtracking a little, the pictures on the internet about genital worts are extreme cases. This is one reason I didn't think it was it, I obviously had a mild case. Hopefully it clears up, but they can always come back. Well I'll update later, or if you all have questions let me know.

Thanks to all on this forum because I probably would had went to a urologist instead. Urologist look for cancerous objects, not genital worts or anything.
