So i've been following this thread for a while obviously cuz i have the same problem. I've had it since September. I swear i've tried everything in the book and online. I have noticed that the less i touch it, or masterbate the longer the dryness and flakiness stays away. It went from being shiney, itchy and raw to being only shiney and flakey and now the flakiness is starting to go away. I stopped using oinments and creams because it kills the bacteria (good kind). I actually bought a tube of Lip Carmex and apply generously it every morning sometimes at night before I sleep. What you will notice is that the carmex keeps the skin moisturized and it will quite cracking and being flakey...instead when you wash in the shower the skin will just rub right off...sometimes it will from the friction of your underwear. Anyways, now the cycle of flakiness is occuring every 5 days or so...its also not itchy at all nor does it hurt. My advice is don't touch it, don't "play" with it even if your using lube, and don't have sex. This is kind of serious for me so I can definitely give that up for a few months if my man jewels are showing promising results. CARMEX guys...try it.

Ok, so since this past Sunday (it's Wednesday now), I've taken the advice of using Vaseline & using Dove to wash with. I have to say that 95% of my flaky skin have disappeared, but I do have a cut where the skin was really dry & is waiting to heal. I feel very good about the outcome of this. Just an FYI for anyone with symptoms like mine that I posted on 5/22. So glad this forum is out there. Very helpful. I actually forgot about my "burning" or itching feeling all of today & actually forgot to bring my Vaseline with me to work. I was applying it morning & night, but realized a few hours ago the symptoms have disappeared. Cheers!:)

The skin on the underside of my penis, the area where it is wrinkled when flaccid, has been irritated off and on for the last 6 months or so. It basically is just a little red line that is like a small break in the skin. This is very small. Sometimes there is just one, sometimes up to three. THey never really heal 100%. I've tried simply abstaining from sex for a while, but it hasn't helped really. It might be a litlte better one day or worse the next, but it seems to be unrelated to sexual activity. Maybe it's because simply getting an erection, which stretches out the skin, might be preventing it from healing completely, and it's kinda hard to prevent that...
I've tried, at the direction of my doctor:
-1% hydrocortizone
-vitamin A cream
-bacitracin oinment
-zinc oxide ointment
Nothing really worked wonders at all (obviously since it's 7 months later). I'm unsure what to do next. even abstaining from sex doesnt' seem to help...and my doctor didn't really know of other creams.
U could always try some tropical anti fungal cream, it helped me.

Hey guys I did some more research. This one guy on men's health had a biopsy done on the one spot and sure enough the dermatologists determined it was superficial skin cancer and can be treated. So just bring it up to your dermatologist and get it done. Ive had the same problem over 2 years and I just found this article. Worth a shot.

hey everyone ive got the same issue! started off a small itchy rash in between my right nut and right leg, had it for months and it never went away/got worse, finally went to the doc about it & was given some anti-bacterial cream & tablets, within 2 days of applying the cream it spread alot to the bottom side of my penis and over my right nut! now whenever i masterbate, my foreskin dries up really quickly and i get small stinging cuts below the tip of my penis.

anyways i did alot of googling and finally come to the conclusion that the problem is CANDIDA, a male yeast infection.(nothing to do with sex, everything to do with the inside of your guts) now, there is alot of info on the net about this but no easy solution - the most commonly talked about solution that i found was a CANDIDA DIET which basically requires you to stop ALL SUGAR and CARB intake for a couple of months and let the candida inside your gut die off (this includes most fruit as it contains natural sugar & all alcohol!)

thats about as much as i know thus far... if anyone else knows more about this please post!! im sick to death of this issue and want it gone, its depressing as hell.

Okay David. I am a doctor and I have suffered through the same mental anguish as you. I suspected it was a fungus infection and following some reader's advice I tried Lamisil cream. It didn't work. I saw two doctors about it and both said they don't know what it is. I was getting desperate with my girlfriend's visit coming up soon.
Then besides being red, I noticed some flaky white material under my foreskin. That finally helped me make the correct diagnosis.
All you guys have a yeast-like fungus infection caused by monilia. Another name for the fungus is candida albicans.
The treatment is unbelievably simple. Take one pill of 150 mg Diflucan (fluconazole). I did it this morning and by tonight the white membranes have already disappeared. The area is still red but much less.
Your doctor has to give you a prescription for Diflucan. But you can also buy it over-the-counter as a cream. Ask your pharmacist.
I am so happy. For sure my girlfriend would have discovered the rash and assumed I had slept with somebody else. If she believed me that I didn't, there was still the issue of transmitting it to her. This might have been the end of a great love story.
I hope some of you will be helped by my comment.

Wow!!! So many of you are going through this! It is terrible! So...a few weeks ago, I noticed a dry, scaley patch on my bf's penis. He kinda scraped it off and chocked it up to masturbating to hard and without lube. We had sex, which irritated this patch (maybe 1 1/2cm X 1 1/2 cm on the shaft right below the head on the underside). I noticed that there was sort of small looking cuts or knicks to the skin. The next time we had sex a few days later, it got even more irritated. Ir got very ready and the skin actually looked a little inflamed. He started putting A & D ointment on it and that started to help. We had no sex and he did not masturbate for 5 days and then when we had sex last night, it was REALLY red, the little cuts seemed worse, and there was a clear fluid beading up from the cuts. I know this can happen as an inflammatory response but it is really bothering me. He is going to planned parenthood to rule out herpes, but he continues to say it is from it getting chafed and then not healing properly. He has never had herpes, and neither have I. We have both been tested for STD's in the past and were clean. There were never any blisters, and he actually says that this irritated area actually does not itch, burn, sting or anything. Since it has been about 3 weeks of this I am concerned. I hate making him feel self conscious about it, but I am really worried it is just a mild, first time herpes outbreak and I would have now most likely contracted it. Any thoughts? I read a lot of the posts, but since there are 653 of them I didn't see everything lol. Again, WOW!!! SO many of you suffer from such a similar ailment. Maybe together we can all find a cure to this. I would encourage anyone going through this to see a doctor as soon as possible. I will try to remember to post when they tell him when he goes to planned parenthood.

I've been experiencing the same problem for about four months now. Just a question, what clothing do you guys sleep in and what position do you sleep in. Could this have something to do with it becoming re-aggravated?

I have had this now for 3 years!! I Went to a dermatologist and she's baffled. Symptoms are.. Red head of penis. Foreskin is red also. Under the head of the penis where the skin contracts and expands it can get cuts on it which can open up if I have too much sex and become very painful. I have tried everything to date! I got told by one doctor its psoriasis... I do get a white layer of skin sometimes on it which comes off in the shower. I'm getting a skin test done in about 3 weeks.. I will let u guys know what she says.

So I have been having the same issue for 6 months now. The problem started out after my girlfriend gave me a quick BJ and was alittle rough as we were rushing to the airport. I didn't notice it but the next day my penis was red like a burn on the side shaft. Well It started to heal. Then while she was away I masturbated and may alittle to rough on my self. Then about 3 days later I went to a strip club and got a lap dance from a hot dancer and she was way to rough. My penis was super red and so sensative for days (Sensative that I wcouldn't wear jeans and normal underware). I went to my normal doctor and soon as he looked at it he said that was Herpes. We took a blood test and he wouldn't answer my calls. Finally 4 days later he called me back and said the test was positive. I thought he was crazy but I still freaked out and took valtrax . Same day i saw 3 other doctors and all doctors said I didn't have Herpes and i shouldn't worry. Took blood test 2 and 3 all negative.
This is where the advanture starts from seeing doctor after doctor. I saw this special high end Dermatologiest gave me creams and lotions. No fixes. He sat me down and said I should change my condoms. Ok I did same problem. Now the redness isn't like the begining but it comes back every other week. My penis can get so sensative rubbing against my underwhere which I had to change the friut of the loom to high end egyptian cotton underwhere to be smoother on the skin.
Now I have sex or masturbate my penis turns red for a day or two and hurts. Some parts u can see little blood vessels where it's irratated at.
I went to another Dermatologiest and I told him about the penis turning red and being sensative. He asks does happen to anyother parts of your body. I said yes the past 3 to 4 weeks I been itching alot more and skratch my head from the stresss. He went ahead and gave me medicine for Scabies now. So I'm going from one extream to another now.
I tried all the creams, powder, Lotions, soaps, and Laundry detergent too. It's crazy and I don't know what to do. I even stopped having sex for a month and still got irratated from from penis rubbing against the underwhere and pants.
I need some help or direction on this? thanks
A&d ointment gets rid if any cuts in about a week it is found in child Carr for diaper rash I used it and got rid of my rash in about a week

Okay peeps, seems that after reading for 5 hours all of your concerns we all defintiely have something in common; A very concern and irritated dick. I've been dealing with the same problems as you all, most of us have acquired the yeast infection mainly from our gf, mistress, tranny, sheep, or whatever our dicks was pocking at that moment. I don't have the solution because I have not found it yet, but what I've found out is that Miconazole Nitrate Vaginal Cream 2% does work in releaving the itchiness, soreness, & specially redness quite fast, in less than 7 days. The problem is that I am like jack off everyday, or perhaps twice a day as most of you do. So, I am pretty sure that is the reason that the tear, irritation and soreness appear back to back. We are not letting our little generals health brothers. I am 34 years old, and honestly I have to agree with most of the middle age people in here, our bodies are not the same with age, it takes a toll by chocking the chicken 2x per day, plus satisfying the gf/mistress/coworker/sheep/cat , etc, etc. We are all men here, so we've been there, we know when we are fucking & masturbating a lot. So, what I am going to do, and this is going to definitely be hard for me or you, but I will refrain from masturbating for 1 month, no sex for 1 month, no nothing for 1 month, I won't even look at it. Shit, I better pick up a hobby during that time for this to work. Besides the 1 month of being a saint, I wil try for the 1st 10 days putting a diluted solution of organic apple cider vinegar on my dick, sort of like giving it a dick face wash, since it fights fungus, then I will add the Miconazole Nitrate cream. I will do this once per day for 10 days, after those 10 days are up I will use Aloe Vera Gel the 99% type for 10 days & see how the improvements are, if I see improvements, I will continue using it, if I don't, I will use the Triple Paste diaper baby rash cream. All of this was mentioned in this post by people who have tried it and worked for them. I am simply going to tested on myself. After the month is up, I will resume to having sex, & will keep you posted if the breaks or irritation would return. My main concern is what tu use after having sex to protect my dick so it does not happen again, I am thinking Aloe Vera since it is a more natural product. I will keep you inform.

Psoriasin <-- Use it a 2 - 3 times a day. Itchiness gone and it's been a week. Redness, none and no cracking or flakiness either. This thing is cyclical as many of you know. Couple days it's cool a couple it's not so I won't get too excited just yet, but I think I'm on to something.

The Psoriasin is working guys. I'm going to finish up this week then stop applying it to see if the irritation comes back. As of now. No dryness no flakiness and no cuts / pain. my stuff is going back to normal!
