I was fine and then I started having unprotected sex with a girl and started having problems. I think she had a yeast infection and that can cause men problems. I had a doc tell me that even the cleanest of women can have bacteria in the vagina. It's not an STD but in a way it kind of is because I was fine before I started having sex with her. Mine doesn't want to completely go away either. I have used anti-fugal creams and it got better but still feels like little tears in the skin sometimes. I am going to try neosporin and see if it works. I know this: there is fungis you can get if a girl has a yeast infection. If she has an infection, it can cause your urinary tract to have problems as well.

Just go to a dermatologist. There wasn't anything left for me to try rubbing on myself, so I finally went. After 2 years of living hell, I finally went despite everyone on this thread saying they got no help from them, and after 1 week I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. He gave me a single pill (actually two at my insistence, second to be taken one day after the first) and a topical antifungal cream with a weak steroid. 1 week and I have had so much relief.

Look up Candidal Balanitis. It's what I had and most probably what you have too. Now I've just got to recover from the emotional and psychological trauma that having a broken penis for 2 years has done to my wife and myself.

Gents,
For the last week or so, I've been using the Antifungal cream, Tinactin, which is meant to cure Athlete's Foot fungus. It's been working great for getting rid of the symptoms. I apply it two or three times daily and limit sexual activity. Hoping for a full cure within a couple of months. Good luck all.

Guys, I posted a month ago after getting 5 areas excised and biopsied from my member. The pathology report showed abnormal cell growth (bowenoid papulosis, hyperkeratosis, hypergranulosis) and was consistent with HPV infection(there are over 100 strains and approx 25-40% of sexually active people have at least one strain). For many of the people who their acquired symptoms after an encounter with a questionable female, this is a definite possibilty. All of the symptoms that will not go away could be from the HPV virus causing abnormal cell growth down there (related to warts, but different in appearance and more prone to irritation). The excision of some spots helped, but did not cure the problem, but I did get a prescription for something that is very powerful and has been helping a lot so far. I have been using Imiquimod: name brand Aldara or Zyclara and have had great results with the cuts/spots/sores.( http://www.medicinenet.com/imiquimod-topical/...
It is expensive as hell though, so if you try it, hopefully you have insurance or can get free some free samples from a dermatologist.

Yes, I saw your previous comment, Kev. Sounds like you've been through hell. I'm definitely mentioning this possibility to my doctor. Thanks for sharing your ordeal and I sure hope you found your cure. I do have the Herpes Simplex virus , but never had a "warts" or an HPV type outbreak. Still, mine may be virus related, too. But I'm still hopeful it's only a tenacious fungus.

hey guys i got some more info that might be of major help
i went to the mayo clinic to the dermatology and she got in a genitalia specialist.
She said i might have
Lichen Planus
here's a reference link:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0...
They took a biopsy(yes, they will be taking a skin sample) but it doesn't hurt, barely and its worth it
So i'm waiting for results
Here's someone with this case and got it solved, but first make sure you goto a dermatologist who knows what they're dealing with

Hey Harry.. Did the Fluconazole work for you? I'm going NUTS with this....

Thank You!! My Dr. gave me a cream prescription that did not work. I called him and told him that I want Fluconazole 150mg (3 days worth---total cost $1.50!) He balked and said that the cream he had prescribed did the exact same thing. Sure---Now give me the oral Fluconazole!(Why are doctors so convinced that their answers are the only answers...???) Plus I also applied my wifes anti-yeast (Monostat--sp?)at the same time. That seems to have worked for me!!
Thanks again---

Yes.. I got this after i broke my leg and had lots of antibiotics. Any luck curing it? Please God!!

I have had a similar skin problem - long term irritation with multiple superficial fissures (like paper cuts). My dermatologist said I have Inverse Psoriasis (psoriasis in the genital area). I have been using Protopic ointment (an immune suppressant - not a steroid) and it has greatly helped but the skin is still sensitive to reinjury if I am too rough. Psoriasis often pops up because of stress weakening the immune system or after taking antibiotics.

I've yet to see one person say they are completely healed from this unbelievably debilitating disease.. i've tried everything except a gun to my head.
timmy wrote:
I'm glad to see people getting help from here. It seems like there are a few different conditions like warts and yeast infections. I never figured out the cause or condition I had..I only knew i had what looked like paper cuts on my shaft that would get irritated and never heal. They lasted about a year, and never had a problem since.
In summary of all these posts, if a doctor or dermatologist cant figure it out, refrain from sex, use a mild soap to clean it, and try different creams like anti-fungus, anti-bacteria, jock itch, yeast infection, and others posted here. Each case may be different, use one for a week and judge the effectiveness. It can be healed, stay positive and post updates of your progress for others. It may be weird but maybe we should start posting links to pics of the problem area. And before you laugh, no im not gay. If i wanted to see gay porn it is everywhere...it is only an idea to share and hopefully heal an unknown problem

What Is the name of this Anti-fungal Powder you used?
Well, My story sounds just like most of everyone else's on here.
I'm just about to turn 31 and I feel like my Sex Life has come to a screaming Halt!
My GF and I had some rough sex a couple times in one day a few months back.
My Penis was sore and red for rest of the evening but thought nothing about it, Next morning I noticed this Rash looking area on the right side of the shaft, About the size of a dime and peeling dry skin, Put some neosporin on it for a couple of days and it went away.
A week went by with no Sex and I was fine, No flair ups, not even a sensitive spot.
The Next Friday evening My Girl and I made Love, Very Soft and very wet, about 10 minutes after we both finished I felt a burning sensation on the right side of the shaft, Looked down and saw what looked to be a small rash along with a very thin cut.
It was exactly what I experienced the night of Rough Sex.
Now, Every time we have Sex, Hard or Soft, this problem develops again. It takes about 3 days worth of 1% Hydroquarterzone Cream to heal.
I read up on this three weeks ago and started using all sorts of different creams.... Not Working.
Now I'm on Day 4 using "Lotrimin Ultra" but first cleaning with Dove Non-moisturizing Soap and I have yet to see a fix.
I know it takes time, But even when I am in the hot shower and water hits the area, It is non visible but still tingles almost to a hurt.... Can only be described as a Rug burn feeling.
Even if healed, The skin looks different, almost thinner then the rest of the skin on my Penis.
I finally made a Dr. Appointment with my FGP, But that isn't until next week and I'd love to fine a cure before having to bring this to someone Else's attention.
I'm Sick of this!!! Lately there's not even a desire for Sex and My Girlfriend is understanding on the outside but frustrated on the IN.
Now What?

did it ever go away? I bet not.. what is the cure?
STA100 wrote:
I had normal sex last couple of months but used lubricant for sessions lasting long duration. Last week I had long session with my GF without lubricant and couple of days later noticed the chafed peeling skin and paper cuts. Interesting thing that it does'nt show up immediately after sex, not even the next day, only after two days. This leads me to believe the inital chaffing opens up very tiny cuts that are unnoticeable untill fungus does its job over two days worsening the cuts making them noticeable.
The second thing I am sure about is that its purely caused by lack of lubrication because as long as I was using one I did'nt get it and the one instance I did'nt last week I got it.
I saved the Nystatin antifungal powder from my previous prescription and started applying it. Will let you guys knows the result.

Ever find a cure? if you did, you are a rich man right now.
there is no cure wrote:
my gf thinks im getting sex else where, asked me about porn on my computer.
EVERYTIME we have sex i get the red irritation and thin dry skin cracks. i've tried gold bond extra healing lotion, like the best or whatever. ya nothing. i went 4 weeks without sex or masterbation. not only did this cause problems with my gf and her questioning our sex life, but it didn't fix my problem either.
we had sex probably 3 hours ago. it hurts... i play it off... she knows about it, she thinks the problem is her.... if girls only knew the sacrifices we make for them.
but i'm going to suggest more lube i guess, i dunno. its been 2 months now, im tired of it aswell. i haven't tried neosporin but i'll pick some up and this anti-fungis people are talking about that claims to work.
i totally agree its a dry skin thing thats going on here, its almost as if the skin has no moisture to withstand any stretching, thus causing these dry skin cracks, thus causing the irritation and feeling like paper cuts.
if anyone else has any other suggestions, or solutions i'm prepared

Guys this Fluconazole is working, has been 10 days now and am free of any symptoms right now, am going to let the shin get a little tougher and go for it and see what happens. In my case I thin k it is a yeast infection and this product seems to work fast, nothing else cleared anything up just made it a little better 1 150 mg pill for 7 days seems to do the trick, wow this has been going on for 7 months and finally some relife.

MAKE SURE SHE IS WELL WET,USE MORE LUBE IF SHE WILL LET YOU,AVOID ROUGH SEX,DO NOT MASTERBATE!!!! I KNOW ITS HARD BUT YOU CAN DO IT. anyone ever notice how your own sperm irritates it causing it you to feel a burning sensation? i repeat reframe from all masterbation!!!!!! this will only make the problem worse!!!!!! only have sex with your partner vasaline helps alot keep it on there while not having sex apply right after your shower and repeat through your day. i know this because i do it myself. after looking for answers i found that we are losing elasticity in our penis from having sex. doctors dont have answers because this isnt a world wide problem yet! think about it. we are having sex how rough is that? think of the friction the in and out. it feels good yes but it wears our penises down brothers! anal sex worsens this. just use it in its natural intent. trust me. if i find any further info i will be back filling you all in. be safe and be blessed.
