hi,
Recently, when i get out of the shower i notice a very red rash which begins at the base of my ankle and travels up to my thighs. It is in exactly the same position on my other leg also.
After a while it disappears, but i can still see a very faint outline of where the rash was.
When iii go near somethin hot, or put my body in hot water the red rash comes back. There are also a few random red spots on my body which when scratched make the skin around also very red. My face has become quite blotchy and i can feel little bumps on mu forehead,(Not pimples) in the same place as the rash. HELP! WHAT IS THIS?

I have what I think is a rash, but I'm not sure. For about a week, I've been getting these very small (2 or 3mm in diameter) bumps on my skin, but they don't seem to be localized like a normal rash. It's one or two, kind of hard and itchy, bumps here, and another one or two somewhere else. But, it does seem to be spreading. They're mostly on my hands, but I have a few on my elbows, and one or two on my knees.

I have had a rash for around a year and a half that has, in the last month, spread to different parts of my body. When the rash started it was a circular shape that was empty in the middle - I thought I might have ringworm but was told that by a dermatologist that it was not. The rash then spread to my elbows and manifested as tiny dots, which were raised. It all seemed to go away for 9 months or so. Recently I have developed more of the flat, red spots on my hips; the circular rash on my arm has spread; I have the raised itchy spots on my elbows, knees, and hands.

I've tried a fungal cream my doctor gave me, hydrocortisone cream, and even taken antihistamines. I'm still itchy. Any idea what this could be or how to make the itching go away?

Im not allergic to anything and have never encountered anything like this, i have a massive outbreak of these itchy red circle type rashes. I can get rash anywhere on body a great deal of it is on my torso and near/under my armpit. It gets extremly itchy and i cant do anything but itch it, my doctor believes its eczema because my sister has it and simple but me on what she had (500g Aqueous and 30g Hydrocortisone creams) this would help reduce the redness but in a matter of weeks it would come back but twice as bad. Can anyone help me??

About 4 weeks ago, I developed a rash under my arms. It spread to my neck and back and to my stomach. It even appears sometimes on my face and arms. I went to the doctor and he gave me a cortisone shot which helped, but now it is back and as itchy as ever. I have never had this problem before, but I have had a very stressful fall with a new teaching job and some financial woes. The Dr. said it could be stress. I am almost 60 years old. Why would stress all of a sudden show up in a rash when it never has before?

Mary, have you found out what this is yet? It sounds exactly like what I have. I have been to several doctors and dermatologists and still don't have a definite diagnosis. I first noticed this rash in 4 months ago. Please let me know if you find out anything.

Shoknows i have done a bit of research i think what i have could be ringworm (i suggest looking into it) and i have to book an appointment with a dermatologist , were I will talk about it there and hope that they can give me something which can help, unlike everything else ive tryed. A friend of mine has recommended a cream named "Rescue cream" i have bought some from a local holland and barrett its a bit pricey for such a small tube, yet it has decreased the size of the "ringworm." And with this being an herbal remedy you can keep applying and not worry about this scarring. I hope ive helped,

hi, for the past 2 months, i have been getting large lumps all over my body that are very itchy. It started when i took a shower i would have huge lumps all over my legs, so i htougt maybe it was something in my shower. Now i get these lumps everyday, on my legs, on my arms, on my feet, my back, everywhere. Even the right side of my top lip will bulge up (happened 3 times). I have no idea what it is. I cant think of anything that i ahve changed in my eating habits, or my soaps. When a spot will get itchy i scratch it and it just spreads and spreads but eventually goes completly away. Anyone have any idea what ths is!?!? thank you!!

i get these rashes sometimes after 3-4 years or so, since i was young. The rashes typically are worst at night when i am not moving, in the morning as i start working they tend to become milder. Also they are very itchy at night but are less itchy during day.

They look like bulky skin lumps with liquid in it and keeps changing loaction on skin,

I think if acid in stomach increases (due to eating lot of honey or olive oil or yogurt etc) if hugryness is reduced in morning then these rashes appear in my case. What i do is first thing in morning i try to vomit whatever is there in my stomach with help of little salty water. after i have completely empty stomach, i avoid bitter and sour (lemon kind of) food for day or two...

And rashes go in single day or so...

My son came home and told me his arm was really itchy. When I looked at it I was stunned at the size of the "rash" which looked like thickened white skin with raised white fiber-looking things shooting out in all directions from it. That same day, itchy red hot spots resulting in more of these thickened spots (up to four inches long and two or three inches wide) appeared on the back of his thighs on his back and on his feet. I realized that the "fibers were caused by his scratching and probably spreading the toxins". I have not had him checked for allergies but I soon will if this does not end or if it comes back.

My son came home from school the other day and said his arm was really itchy. When I looked at his arm, I was stunned at the huge patch of white raised or thickened skin with fiber-looking things shooting out of it in all different directions. I later realized that the "fibers" were caused by his scratching and probably spreading what ever "toxins" caused the itch in the first place. I've yet to see what happens if he simply doesn't scratch the itch. It seems impossible for him to bear it without scratching.

Hi Mary,
I think I have the same thing. I think it may be body lice. I've used the lindane lotion as well as the permethrin lotion. It does seem to help but after I wash it off, it comes back. Mine gets worse at night because i think that's they're primary feeding time. Please email me if you know of anything

thanks...
