I got one of these on my right palm maybe 4-5 months ago, thought it was a splinter at first and so tried to remove it, but found nothing there except small dark point like a pinprick. I cut it down as far as possible several times but it always came back. Today noticed another, on my other palm. Only mildly annoying now but the idea of my hand covered with them is unpleasant. Once I read that Pompholyx was a type of eczema I knew it was what I had, because I've already got 'regular' eczema.
Also I think I have developed a few new allergies in the past few years, whereas before I had none that I knew of and no skin issues other than eczema and dry skin. I am 22; do things like hay fever (which my dad has) develop around this age?

i posted about my condition a couple of months ago.i went to a nurse and she told me it was Eczema gave me a script for a cream and it helped some but not alot, then it spread to my left hand but not as bad as my right hand, then i started to think about when this first started and i happened to remember that i had started to eat Zucchini and i have never tried it before, the last time i have had Zucchini was 3 weeks ago and my hands are starting to clear up{FINALLY!}i am still using the cream and i was taking my fiance's Prednisone(that didnt help to much) this has to do with a food allergy! so i hope this helps someone out there..i suffered through this hell since may 2009,the cracked skin, the bleeding of the skin and the rawness!

I've seen three different dermatologists and none of them have been able to diagnose or treat my symptoms. I have little bumps all over my hands and now they are starting on my lower arms. When my hands have been in the water for a period of time the bumps turn into these ugly little white bumps. Also when my hands have been soaking for awhile I can the beginning of thousands of little bumps developing underneath the skin. Does anyone have a clue what I might have. It's very embarrasing to have to little "bumps", "growths" on my fingers, hands and lower arms. They're even on my feet and legs but not as many as my hands.

This link has pictures and it looks like what I get. I know Ihave eczema and I believe it is this type. Mine doesn't get as bad as some of the pictures but it does resemble the small blisters. It might help some of you.

People, people, people!!!!

Dyshidrosis, also known as Pompholyx. Several reasons it can happen:

ALLERGIES (controllable, not cureable)
STRESS (controllable, not cureable)
NAIL FUNGUS (will go away when fungus clears)

There are several other reasons you have it. Check the symptomatology. But FIRST, check that you don't have a nail fungus on your finger nails or toe nails. I do, and the skin condition is clearing as my fungus clears

I also have these. Back of my hands and around my ankles. One on the chin of my right leg. I too have picked one off, but it came back. So what are these called? Someone let me know.

Dyshidrosis eczema is a skin condition in which blisters form on the hands and feet, causing thick and painful areas, once the blisters open. While not infectious, dyshidrosis eczema can be embarrassing and uncomfortable for individuals suffering from the condition.

What Causes Dyshidrosis Eczema?
It is unknown what exactly causes dyshidrosis eczema, but it is thought that fungal infections, allergies, diet and stress can trigger the skin irritation.
Hydrogen Peroxide
Using a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide can heal persistent blisters; however, it is advisable to use it only once a week. Simply dab the peroxide with a cotton ball on the affected areas to alleviate the symptoms.
White Vinegar Soak
A white vinegar soak for the affected area can alleviate and treat the dyshidrosis eczema. The vinegar changes the pH balance of the skin, effectively stopping any fungal growth on the skin.
Removing nickel from your diet can help prevent future outbreaks, as nickel is a known trigger for dyshidrosis eczema. Foods like chocolate, oatmeal, shellfish, almonds and canned vegetables are high in nickel.
Using an oatmilk soak for the affected area will relieve the pain and sooth the itching associated with dyshidrotic eczema.

in fact, the reason scabies probably spreads is because people don't know what they are, like everyone here, and then thinks they're not contagious, when they are in fact pretty contagious. it's the only way you get them. from someone else. I can't believe people just live with these for so long, they freaked me out so much.

I know you posted this a while back but did you ever find out what those bumps are ? I have them now and when I move my finger across them or mess with them they hurt. But if I'm not touching them they don't bother me. And they don't itch either
