Heres the issue. No matter the temperature outside, or what time during the day, my scrotum is cold, moist, and clammy to the point of making my boxers wet and moist. Even when i take a shower, am completely dry, go to bed, and when i wake up, it wet again even though the rest of me is fine. I've tried Z-absorb powder and Nystatin Triamcinolone but this is not helping. Whats wrong with me? The wtness is getting so annoying and uncomfortable. I dont notice anything that looks different down there, just this symptom. I'm at the point of paying anyone who can correctly diagnose me :(

I really hope someone responds here, I have the same "cold wet" feeling, and all my problems seemed to start with a ring worm infection as well. I am a little worried that I may have Prostatitis....please help!

Hello all,
Now I have finaly searched on a search engine for this. I am surprised by the writings here, my specialist laso had no clue. I might however leave some tips here. 1) u might want to drop using boxers and such so that u can dry more easily. 2) I think treating it as a ringworm infection is about right. I had this stuff on my hands (fingertips), very painful when it tears into the nerves. My fingers were always peeling and painfully so. 3) I wonder if this infection can go up ones penis in the bladder et al??? if so it is a very dangerous kind of thing.
It even affected my sexual performance!!!

Regards
all better now

I had the same problem but after trial and error and lots of different doctors checking me out I decided to try something on my own and it worked!
Go to your local drug store and buy a bottle of selsun blue (dandruff shampoo) The 1st time you use it apply it to the scrotum, penis shaft, inner thighs and butt crack. Mix it with water and work up a good lather. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. It will be cold but thats the medicine working. You can do this regiment daily for a week or so and you should feel a lot better after the third day. I now use it in the shower daily in the groin area and I have zero symptoms.

good luck!

I read that Selsun Blue is good for the fungus that causes dandruff so tried in on my jock itch. My sack was slightly gray, so I knew it was a fungus. I didn't have the wetness. I applied the selsun for 5 mins in the shower for 2 days running and by the morning of the third my sack had an odd shininess and looked like the outer skin was drying out as if to peel, which it has in medium size flakes. The skin is looser and moves in slo-mo when I stretch it and let go. Strange. I take it this is all due to the die-off of the fungus. The itching is gone but my skin is still recovering from the fungus. I read elsewhere that selsun blue is safe for the scrotum, so that was a relief. I'm putting a lot of fresh aloe vera leaf goo on my sack to help it heal and regrow as it sheds the fungus-damaged skin. There is no discomfort but it's a little redder due to the light peeling and regrowth of skin. This is just the fifth day. Once my sack recovers I will use selsun a couple times a week to keep it healthy.

UPDATE! My use of Selsun Blue has been as follows: applied for 5 min day 1: scrotum reddened, applied for 5 min day 2, scrotum still reddened and shiny; did not apply on day 3; day 4 scrotum color normal pink but now peeling in flakes; day 5 applied 3 min : scrotum reddened; day 6 did not apply, color back to normal pink, slight shine again, flaky peeling progressing. I also applied aloe vera goo from a live leaf sevearal times a day to help the healing. SUMMATION: i have a sensitivity to Selsun Blue that caused the reddening and possibly the peeling. I'm sure it killed the fungus from the jock itch but was not totally safe for my scrotum skin. In the future I will try Head and Shoulders which contains pyrethione zinc instead of the selenium sulfide. I have used the aloe vera before on my scrotum and it did not cause peeling or reddening, so that wasn't the cause. USE CAUTION: if you try Selsun Blue leave it on for only 3 minutes and rinse off completely, then skip a day to see the reaction. If you don't have an adverse reaction then gradually increase your treatment.

I'm 15, and I have had all of these symptoms. Constantly, My scrotum is shiny, and emitting a wet, and foul smelling liquid. I asked my doctor, and he said he had never of heard something like this. The ring-worm seems like the best possible cause... Because I had it on my arm about 3 months ago. 2 and a half months ago... I had these signs. I thought it was just part of puberty of something, but apparently not. I have Head and Shoulders... I'll try that out. See what happens. Although the itching has stopped, the wetness and shinyness are still there. I haven't tried anything these past couple months or thought anything about it, and from all of these posts, it seems it is going away on its own. I hope I can fix this for 1) It's frikken annoying, and 2) It seems like it could end up becoming potentially dangerous. Thank you. It's so good to see that people actually have the same problem!!! Thanks,
-Tucker

I do not think this is an infection at all. Have any of you guys had your hormone levels checked? My testosterone level was low. I do take T supplements but here is the thing - this problem still persists. However, a friend of mine also takes regular HCG three times a week. When he wrote me about this he was singing its praises those were "no more cold penis and testicles..." I will certainly investigate this more.

If you have a fungal infection you should be using an antifungal cream. There are many great broad spectrum (meaning they treat a wide range of infections) over the counter products available that are effective. Clotrimazole is a good option and should be available at most drug stores without an Rx. Although you will notice a difference in 7-10 days full treatment should last a few weeks. If you are unsure though you should see a dermatologist.

I have the wet clammy itchy feeling on my scrotum for months. Living in Florida i feel it most when its very warm outside... I used the Clotrimazole cream did not seem to work very well and currently on the Fluconazole for about 5 weeks and i still have symptoms. So i will try the selsun blue and report back. Oh yeah had the shinny balls also!!!

hi, how has the treatment gone so far? I have the same problem with the grey sack and constant wetness but i have been using head and shoulders instead for the past 5 days. It burns when i apply it and seems to be doing nothing to get rid of the wetness, itching or smell. how are you now? did the selsun blue work?

I think this is some kind of std or at least contagious. I just got it at the end of Jan and it took a little over a month to get bad. Now I am fighting it with Fluconazole and taking a pill for fighting a yeast infection. Both are sort of working but it doesn't look too good. I am trying various things and will keep you updated on what works if anything.

Hey im turning 15 in about a week and i also noticed a cold wet sensation on my balls for the passed couple of days. So after reading all of your comments its obviously attached to ringworm because i had ringworm recently and now it feels like my scrotum is always cold and sweaty as if it were leaking. Im positive it has nothing to do with climate because i live in AZ! So i will try anti-dandruff shampoo (head&shoulders), and see if that works. Thx
