I can't see your pictures as it says account suspended, but sounds like what I get. Seeing dermatologist in May but have managed to calm skin loads by avoiding alcohol and spicy foods and using Double base lotion to wash and apply after wash. Also found great cream from Summer bee with sea buckthorn (good skin rejuvenation properties). Both items available on Amazon. Will post after 2nd May with what dermatologist says.

I have a problem that has been plagueing me for nearly five weeks now... I seem to be getting this kind of rash that I'm not sure about. From the pictures below, you can see parts of my face and how this rash looks like.

It's going in a frustrating cycle. I have noticed that it will start itching, then gets worse, and then calms down. When it does calm down, my face becomes clear, but dry. Flaking occurs, and when I use my cleanser (Neutrogena Extra Gentle cleanser), it seems to get drier. With that, I am starting to believe that my rash is caused by the dryness. Before that, I get hives, and I normally associate them as harmless. Unfortunately, that is not the case, as some of the hives started growing up into liquid filled capsules.
My doctor (I went into a children's doctor, and that might've affected what type of treatment I am getting) says that I might have contact dermatitis. With my knowledge, it is also called eczema. I am currently using the Neutrogena cleanser and this hydrocortisone lotion called "Praxoline," don't remember if it is the correct spelling. I have an over the counter cream with aloe vera that I avoided using after my rash started lichenifying, but that was four weeks ago.
My condition improved during spring break, but now it started up again, and I am running out of ideas. Can someone confirm that my rash is indeed dermatitis? Should I attempt to use the OTC hydrocortisone cream? Please note that the pictures are about a week old, and my face right now is not as serious as the pictures above.

My rash first appeared after curry and wine evening. Now wine, cider etc all make it flare up and I have to severely moderate my drink or suffer the consequences. I've also now got a very itchy scalp and bad dandruff :[

I have the same appearing rash, but I've decided that I'm allergic to sulfites in wine. It always seem to flare when I drink wine. Do any of you notice this with your condition?

Hi,
I posted on here a while back about this rash. I tried cutting out a number of things and going on an anti-candida diet, which seemed to have some success. What I highly highly recommend is, if you haven't tried it, cut out dairy. just for a few days and see what happens. It has worked for the most part, it's crazy.

I have the same problem in the spring when pollen is floating in the air. I find a daily allergy pill like Claratin works, and sometimes if its really itchy I'll take a Benadryl (careful, it makes you sleepy). Also I have a hydrocortisone cream that I use only once in a while because it can thin your skin with prolonged use. But combined with the allergy pills, it is quite effective. Hope I helped.

I think I'm getting closer to finding out my problem... I did an experiment with my ear and scratched the hell out of it. It was itchy anyways. x_X My ear oozed out the same stuff, but I can't see my ears, so I don't know if it looked like the rash on my face. The liquid smelled the same as the one that's coming out of my face (I can't describe the smell, but after smelling it for a while, it kind of makes you feel sick. It probably smells like metal), and it seemed bumpy in that area.
Right now, I'm scratching my neck, and while it's not as shocking on the neck as my face, the effects are kind of similar. I'm trying my best not to scratch, but I always end up scratching it in my sleep.
Anyways, I'm treating my symptoms by taking Benadryl whenever an intense itch comes up. I get hives, and they REALLY annoy the hell out of me. In the morning, I use Actifed, because I don't get as sleepy as if I'm taking Benadryl. At night, I take a brief shower and avoid touching my face with water. Water irritates. At night, if I feel like my rash is leaking, I use the prescription corticosteroid Pramosone. It stings, but I think it helps with the swelling. If I feel brave, I put hydrocortisone Cortaid. In the morning I use Cortaid after washing my face with my cleanser Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser (I might switch to Cetaphil). During the day, I often feel good, not noticing my rash. Sometimes when I sleep though, it always seem to worsen. I don't know why, it always happen when I fall asleep.
Hopefully it's just the typical type of eczema. I believe that our skin is worsening because we aren't letting it heal. If I stop touching my face, stop scratching, and stop anything irritating, it gets a lot better. Resistance lowers when I get hives, and while I'm at school I can't take Benadryl. Because of the Virginia incident, the security of our school shot up, and now we get drug / bomb sniffing dogs everywhere.
I have really bad eczema on my hands. Try not to use any cleanser at all when its bad. Just cool water. The soap will just irritate it and the cool water sooth it and help take away the itch. Also, if you must scratch it, don't use your nails. A dermatologist told me to rub it with a towel as it will not be as damaging to the skin.

I have a rash that started two or three days ago when I was camping, Its exteremly itchy. They are just red bumps but if they get broke open there is a clear substance inside. After that they dry kind of yellow colored, and dry. It's spreading all over my face too but no where else. I have it on my chin, under my nose, on my nose, my cheeks, forehead, lips, and around my eye causing me to be unable to open it all the way. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Prepare a mixture of coconut milk and pineapple juice and apply it on the skin for about 15 to 20 minutes regularly to achieve whitening of skin and helps to get rid of rashes over face.

Benzyl benzoate! It can be highly irritating to skin if applied directly. Mix a small amount with a hypoallergenic face cream. BB hasn't been approved by the FDA for human use however, it has been used successfully and without side effects in other countries for fungal, viral and parasitic problems. Just keep in mind that it can irritate your skin so adjust the dose of BB accordingly. Start with very small amounts and work up. My skin has developed a tolerance to it and I'm able to apply it straight to most areas. Just keep in mind there's a learning curve to its usage. It works miracles!
Google it to find out more.

i went to the doctor today for something very similar. as with most of you, he didn't seem to have a clue. i have had this for years and i'm beginning to think that it has something to do with our hardwater and the rust remover salt pellets in the softener. do any of you have hardwater or am i spinning gears? also, i notice that uv from tanning booths actually clears it up a bit. you can use benedril or claratin as well, to stop the red swelling.

I have the same rash and i notice after being sweaty or really humid days, what I do too get it under control is wah face with mild soap, part dry, then a cotton pad soaked with apple cider vinegar pat the whole area( warning, it does sting,) then pat it dry with clean towel, and pat desitin baby rash cresm on.it snd leave it until it disappears(overnight)- mind is cleared up next day, then to keep it under control,I wash face every am/pm with mild soap and apply alpha hydroxy cream on it, Walgreens brand ids what I use$8.00... that's what works for me.

Have had rash problem on my face 3years.
I saw a dermatologist who told me to use Retin-A and some soap which worked a little.
Later the rash got worse and a pharmacist recommended I use Exavate- MF cream that worked instantly.
Upto date I use that cream once or twice a week but if I stop the rash comes back.
I'm so fed up and worried because I don't like the cream plus its thinning my skin.
Might it be sensitivity to sun?

Hate to tell you all but there is nothing you can do. I had this about 10 years ago for about 8 months I would get about 1 week a month free and sure enough it would come back starting with an itch under my eye and within 10 minutes I looked like I had been in a car accident. I spent so much money on doctors, dermatologists, homeopathic, I tried everything, no coffee spicy foods you name it...nothing. One thing kind of helped I took a beta blocker to calm me down when I had a flare up and this helped as it was embarrassing at work when it happened. One day I woke up and it was gone. It has just come back 3 weeks ago but now I know what I am dealing with it. My sister had it last year and she was beside herself, she even put mashed banana on her face, I laughed as I knew it was useless. So basically dont waste your money on expensive advice, just be sensible and use water and nivea is cooling (water based moisturiser) it will go as it came. Sorry. I think it may be hormonal.

I too, have been dealing with a sort of "cheek" rash. I have now had this condition for roughly 3 years. I'm 26 years old, have never really had any acne or other obvious skin issues of the face until this randomly began to present itself. It doesn't itch, or really do anything. Sometimes it can appear flaky. My skin has just seemed to get worse because I mess with it so much trying different regimens to treat it. It is very frustrating. I have been seen by several top dermatologists and an allergist. NO ONE seems to be able to diagnose me. I tried a myriad of creams, moisturizing, washing etc and nothing seems to make any difference. The rash is ONLY on my cheeks and jawline area up to near my temples. It has completely spared my nose, chin, forehead and mouth area. It's so odd. I just wish I could figure out what it is and get my skin and face back...PLEASE HELP. Here is a photo.

I have been dealing with something similar for three months. It started on my arm and always moves to my neck and face. I took 2 courses of prednisone which cleared it up? Or it just ran its course one or the other. The allergist also looks at me like she is stumped, like many of you. I have bought so many creams and tried home remedies to no avail. It comes back now on my face, but not as bad. It is very itchy and red. Under my eyes puff out and it seems worse at night or when I come out of shower. The doctor says she doesn't think its food related and that its some kind of contact dermatitis but contact from what!!!!

I looked @ your picture and I have the exact same rash to the right of my chin. It started off very small about 6 weeks ago. But it keeps getting a little bigger. I've never had acne, my skin has always been perfect. I don't know what it is. My rash is not itchy @ all. It will start getting better and dry up a little so the bumps go down and it looks like dry skin but then all the sudden it flares back up again and gets really bumpy and red. I have tried everything, polysporin, anti fungle cream, hydrocortisone, etc. But nothing is working. I almost think it looks like some sort of diaper rash. I have been around a couple babies in the the last 2 months. I'm going to the Dr tonight about it. I'll post what she says and perscribes. It's very frustrating to have this ugly rash that keeps hanging around!
