Chiropractors rarely talk about their salary but mainly talk about how many people they saw in the past week, how many new patients they helped or how many kids they helped. See the trend?

But if people and up coming students must know the exact number the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is a good place to go for an idea.

DC Mean annual wage $81,070 May 2006
PT Mean annual wage $68,050 May 2006
Family MD Mean annual wage $149,850 May 2006

When looking at any salary you must look at the location or area, associates, starting, working part time, etc.

Mean DC salary in chiro economics for 2006 is $96,772. Not exactly what I posted.

By the way did I not mention that I referenced a government website. Go ahead make fun of fact.

I guess you couldn't make that right Wisdom?

How is the neuro-monitoring pay? I'm just curious. What does the average pharmacist make? How about the average nurse? Massage therapist? Teacher?

You think more? In some cases yes and in others no.

www.chirotalk.com

Income surveys and the origin of those government statistics are detailed at length.

Thousands of chiropractors are currently out of business and have decided to persue other jobs due to an inability to earn decent living at this bizarre profession.

Don't just believe me, read the facts at www.chirotalk.com

Potential chiropractic students....you have been warned.

In your lovely shotgun scattered site the only reference is to the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association annual compensation survey.

IPFREELY wrote 50% of DCs in Wisconsin were surveyed and then it states the mean income for male chiropractors with LESS THAN THREE YEARS experience was $31,714.

I guess 50% of their DCs have less than 3 years experience. Granted most were probably either starting out or an associate.

What about the 5-20 years experience.....120K?

Profit
First year (5 months).....-$26,000
Second year ..........49,000
Third Year ..........72,000

Average $31,667

So yes that statement would be correct in chitalk for under 3 years experience. I fall directly in that.
It is called getting started.

You truly are delusional.

Years experience is not that big of a factor in an independent practice. And success makes all the difference.

As a non-owner, in a very successful practice, try much higher.

More delusional than I thought. For those interested in going to chiro college just check out the help wanted ads in the chiropractic rags.

You'd be lucky to make $30,000 per year...and you'd better be a good salesman, and be prepared to stand in front of your grocery store and do "free" bait and switch spinal exams.

And don't forget the $150,000 of student loans that will be hanging over your head.

Stay away from the quack field. Check out www.chirotalk.com for more factual information, and don't rely on these quackers who have tons of "free" time to post here.

It´s very sad to still see people bashing chiropractic just for the fun of it. A profession that has proved to help thousands of people everyday, and you can ONLY understand this when you see and hear what this people tell you when they were scheduled for surgery and them 2 weeks later they´re much better.
Since you don´t trust gov. website with info about chiropractic I guess you can´t trust them with medical information either right? or is it just picking what you like?
The bottom line is it doesn´t matter the pay. If you want to help people you go into a profession to help people not for the money! Like teachers for example, I´m sure it´s not for the money. So I´ll tell you what if what you want is money don´t be a chiropractor!! Just be a Chiro IF YOU WANT TO HELP PEOPLE!

P.S. I make a lot more than the 81.070 a year.

Its called common sense chiroboy. And honesty.

Survey information from quackers that use techniques like activator, nucca, network and dnft are not to be trusted.

PS The surveys also did not include the thousands of former chiropractors that are out of practice because they couldn't make a decent living.

These surveys have been discussed at length www.chirotalk.com . Find out the truth.

Diaper Man says, "PS The surveys also did not include the thousands of former chiropractors that are out of practice because they couldn't make a decent living."

You mean like you, Diaper Man?

And being a chiropractor and a teacher, although teachers don't do it for the money, it shouldn't be assumed that they should not make very much. Education in the U.S. has gone down in so many ways, mainly due to cultural degeneration and low teacher pay. I have seen teacher after teacher leave due to the lack of money. The very best ones truly are gone from the profession. Current teachers don't like to hear that but for the most part it is true. Or they have congregated in the suburban school districts where they can at least contiue to teach in relative peace.

In terms of relevance, these little chiro girations are small potatoes compared to the changes in education and their effect on peoples lives.

And diaper man, on a per hour basis, all of your alternative professions to chiropractic pay less.

I looked up wisdom's greatful site reference and it pertained to less than three years experience and the other one was based off of 8 different people that did a survey and it stated mean at 52k.

Sorry wisdom since I do my research and your reasources are as follows:
1. extremely difficult to follow due to lack of organization and constant repetition.
2. lacked any resources, just spit it out there and that was for Wisconsin with less than 3 years experience.
3. linked with the 8 person DC salary survey. It was so cheap it accepted [email protected] for email requirement.
4. need I say more?

I tried to give you some credit wisdom but you truely are a joke.

Go advertise ad nauseum for your favorite home shopping site somewhere else.
