AND bringing up the rear as the 3rd least trusted profession....thats right the little lawmen...BARELY beating the car salesmen...HAAHAAA

Only 9 percent of those Gallup surveyed said they would rate the honesty and ethical standards of car salespeople as "high" or "very high." Ten percent gave advertisers high ratings, followed by lawyers (18 percent); congressional leaders (20 percent); business executives (20 percent); and newspaper reporters (21 percent.)

Lets see who society ranks as the lowest in ethics...that right the little lawmen...

NEW YORK, Dec. 15 Journalists are low scorers once again in the annual Gallup survey on how the U.S. public ranks various professions in terms of honesty and ethics.

For the eighth straight year nurses top the list with 84 percent of those surveyed giving the nursing profession very high or high marks for ethics, Editor and Publisher reports. Journalists received high or very high marks from just 26 percent of respondents putting them ahead of business executives, lawyers, stockbrokers, car salesmen, congressmen and senators. Dividing respondents by political party, Democrats rated the honesty of journalists higher than Republicans, 36 percent to 17 percent.

PRINCETON, N.J., Dec 01, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX)-- Nurses top an annual survey on the honesty and ethics of various professions, followed by other medical professionals, a Princeton, N.J., polling group said.

The Gallup Organization said Monday that nurses, like doctors, veterinarians, pharmacists, and dentists, are the most trusted professions.

Car salesmen, HMO managers, insurance salesmen, advertisers and lawyers were rated among the least honest and ethical.

This is why you dont rely on a lawman for your health care needs...

A few months ago, the Harris organization did a poll asking the question who Americans generally trusted the most. The top ten, in order of most trusted, were:(1) doctors,(2) teachers,(3) scientists,(4) police officers,(5) professors,(6) clergymen or priests,(7) military officers,(8) judges,(9) accountants, and (10) an ordinary man or woman. The LEADST trusted professions in America were actors, LAWYERS and stockbrokers. The percentage of trust in clergy, after falling 11 points between 1998 and 2002, has risen 10 points through 2006. God has entrusted His preachers with the priceless Truth. While a few may fail and fall, the majority of pastors are faithful to the Lord and to His calling upon their lives. Every God-called pastor is carrying the torch of truth in an age of unprecedented deception.

I believe police officers perpetuate the dis-honesty and lawyers run with it. How if this poll is legit did they get a trustworthy rating?
