Cholesterol control 101

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

I love talking about my cholesterol. I take pride in my plummeting LDL, or bad cholesterol, which has dropped from what my doctor once called a "nightmarish" 203 to an enviable 66.

You could have never published this article and I wouldn't have missed a thing!! Cholesterol control 101? This article didn't tell me anything more than I could or could not need yet another test. Just like I could or could not need the statin meds (Lipitor/Zocor/Antara and some mo' stuff).....of course, I may or may not need the meds until they tear my muscles apart....as they did just that!! Let's not forget the "studies" that tell me that statins do little to nothing for the heart and the next study that says it does.
Where in your article does it suggest what to eat? what kinds of exercise might be best? other than I may or may not need another test to tell me that my triglycerides are messed up and my bad cholesterol is high. The title to this article is misleading and the noninformation in it was just about a big waste of space.

As far as cholesterol-related illnesses go, only one medication, thus far, has proven to qualify for proactive use. Interestingly, what could be the best, more efficacious, alternative to statin drugs is niacin.
The website, http://www.cholesterolscore.com , a site that is primarily about niacin therapy, has many articles & studies about CRP. Inflammation, lipid particle size, HDL enhancement, as well as all the other cholesterol numbers are discussed, there.

Whether it be elevated C-reactive protein, low-density LDL, low HDL, high triglycerides, nothing yet has equaled the therapeutic effects of niacin.

Much is written about the use of niacin at www.cholesterolscore.com , which is a website that is primarily about niacin therapy.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Taurus

As Mars turns retro, emotional tension makes you feel as though you're walking on eggshells. The temperature has risen by several notches, making the situation at home more fraught. Better to clear the air quickly and cleanly than to sulk and brood in ways that simply prolong the agony.
