Hopkins relies on its US News reputation to attract patients. But they don't like to remind you that it is a teaching hospital. If you are wealthy and connected, you get treated by the best.
If you are an average person, chances are you will have a stranger performing your procedure, not the doc you thought. http://adventuresincardiology.com/ - a true story |

I agree, also the cardiology department facilities are old. Everything is done with paper forms (no central computer) and forms can get misplaced, and thats what happened to me. You can read my story at
http://complaintsjohnshopkins.wordpress.com/ or below. I recently had successful heart surgery at Johns Hopkins. The care I received both in the ICU and at the Cardiac Progressive Care area called Nelson 6 was terrible. The nurses-doctor Nelson 6 interaction was slow, leaving me in great pain and anxiety until a doctor could be found. Even then they seemed to have lost the paperwork from my own doctor regarding specific needs, so Nelson 6 was more like Hades. I would suggest NEVER stay overnight at Johns Hopkins. |
