Erie's Hamot, doctors seek dismissal of suit over heart surgeries

Hamot Medical Center and five local cardiologists are asking a federal judge to dismiss a suit that alleges they participated in a kickback scheme to perform unnecessary heart surgeries from 2001 to 2005.
any and all surgeries are elective by definition... what's the big deal
