I suffered horrendous childhood abuse at the hands of both mother and father. The worse being in grade school and witnessing the rape of my mother, by my father. Of which I called the police and waited/looking out the front door for their arrival. This was 1960's era and the fact he was a FBI Agent. Certainly was the fact of him not being arrested.
It angers me that she stayed with him and subsequent years of other abuse.Which to this day 40+ years brings tears to my eyes. I wasn't diagnosed with PTSD until 2000! During this time I went through a VA Alcohol Treatment Program. To finally get sober after 17 years of misery and three blackouts.
During this time, while talking with my alcohol counselor. Another traumatic experience surfaced, after 30+ years. As a teenager, after fighting with a younger brother. He went down to the basement and loaded a .410 gauge shotgun. I immediately fled out the front door to enter the neighbors house for safety. I started profusely crying, this had been deep inside me. I had no idea how profound.
I have found taking public transportation to be very uncomfortable and in crowds. Since, having only four acupuncture sessions. My anxiety and PTSD has been reduced by "50%". It is such a wonderful relief and will certainly continue it. And for my depression also, which it has been known for helping.

Excellent! I am all for accupuncture after it cured my lower back pain 10 years ago. To offer this service free to these deserving service men and women is fantastic!

Sorry but the military is also using acupuncture for post concussion syndrome and soldiers are returning to work weeks earlier than with traditional allopathic methods. Just because YOU don't understand Chinese medicine nor (obviously) have you taken time to even look into it, doesn't mean that it isn't effective. The theories of the nourisment of life in Chinese medicine should be informing and leading our research efforts here. It is a very advanced system's theory approach to health and healing.

Get a clue.
