I love the approach to storing cherries year round. Many orchards will let you pick your own, then pit and bag them for you, too.
If you don't have access to fresh, I believe tart cherry juice concentrate is the most affordable and effective option at less than $14 a month.
I don't think maraschino cherries would pack the same punch, given the fact that they're soaked in brine and removed of all color, then infused with sugar, artificial "cherry" flavor and coloring. Can't say I would recommend them as a healthful product.

I have used http://qgeneric.info/#kyaf for about 3 years and find their products to be reliable and speedily delivered. The Support team are very promt and helpful in solving any issues that arise, caused by my errors not the company's. I was a little sceptical initially about buying generic products rather than brand names. However, the Mens' Health products I have bought have been equally as efficatious as the brand names at a fraction of the cost.
