I am a Cancer Survivor. Three times I have overcome the disease on different levels. I used alternative methods to survive Conventional Chemotherapy and Radiation. I prefer to call the alternatives COMPLIMENTARY. Without the knowledge and use of these options I would be disabled and dysfunctional....alive yet without all the qualities of healthful living. I thank God for Massage Therapy. I thank God for Yoga. I thank God for the ability to now help others. I am a Massage Therapist and a Yoga Instructor. Time and Time again I exceeded their expectations for remission and survival. I am now living proof that not only a cure is possible but so is quality of life. I thank God for the Will Power to endure conventional treatment and the will power to pursue alternatives. Complimenting chemo and radiation with healing modalities took care of all those ailments and pains they didn't have a pill for. Sure a pain pill will numb the pain of a pinched nerve but does it cure the root of the problem which is pinching the nerve? This is just one example of when I used Acupuncture, massage therapy and Yoga to reverse a very painful condition. My Oncology Dr.s could only offer me a pill, thank God I all ready knew what to do and where to go. What about all the patients that don't know? Is the medical community going to tell you to go elsewhere? Maybe a few select Dr.s will......but this was not my experience within 4 different hospitals and countless physicians and nurses.
My best advice to a Cancer patient and their loved ones.....stay PROACTIVE in your own healing and wellness. Focus on feeling Good.
