It is very sad when peaceful people are harmed, especially people bringing medicine and food. These doctors have now cancelled further plans to send more from "doctors without borders" because Assad has not kept his word about protecting them

One question why did he no go through legal channels? Such as working with doctors without boarders etc. Would have saved him and his family a lot of pain and suffering and surely a visa could have been arranged?

I believe the Doctor started out treating refugees in Turkey, then he decided to enter Syria and go to an area infested with Jihadist terrorists,i don't believe that was an accident, he would have co-ordinated his entry with those terrorists or people who were in contact with them,i don't believe he just decided to go to Aleppo of his own accord,he has paid the price and now his Family will never see him again.

I am not sure that a visa would be issued to a doctor if he said he was going to work in Rebel areas, especially since the Regime has punished people for offering aid to Rebels.

I agree on the torture as he has been talking to his family and they said he was excited about being home in a week, never mentioned anything about harm.

He as just another Terrorist sympathiser who came up short,it was on the News tonight showing some Morons who have gone to Syria in order to kill Syrians, they were all British and were interviewed by a reporter, they sounded as thick as two short planks, looked to me like recreational terrorism, these people are out of their depth,if the SAA don't kill them the Saudi head hacking fanatics probably will.

...For example when DR from the Red Cross go in to war areas they would treat all combatants with no discrimination between one side or another.to do otherwise and choose sides would then sacrifice any legitimacy -so then it's obvious why he illegally sneaked in to the country.Given all of this and the proliferation of Islamic terrorists running wild in the country, one can only wonder at the family's response
