curious - what filter system are you using?
It's one of the filters that hang over the side of the tank...I am not sure what the differences are!

It says it was for 15-30 gallon aquariums! Its like the one in Finding Nemo, if you've ever seen that movie, where Nemo tries to go through the tube, and clog it!

i'm not a vet or anything jen, i do have my animal health and some other things, but what i know about fish, i learnt as i was very interested. selling fish that i bred to petshops, paid towards my studies lol, so i had to learn what i could to make it viable. i started off with goldfish like you did, moved onto tropical, ending with a 20 inch giant gourami that knew his name and lt me pick him up out the tank to pet him (i kid you not) then onto marines.
in 3 yrs time you will own 6 tanks...lol if nt more
I am normally extremely knowledgeable in the area of medicine, but had never spent much time on speech/language disorders to know the difference! Now I wish I had spent more time on that subject, because I am throwing myself into it, and once I start a research topic, I get addicted, and want to know more!!!

What does your son have? How old is he? What is his name? My son's name is Hector Jr. but we call him Munchie,(I know wierd name huh? but everyone calls him that even his teacher!!!lol!)
You have been a huge help! Thank you! Have you ever gone to www.apraxia-kids.org ? It is a really good website, and they have a message board that you would probably like!
my little guy is 5, has delayed speech, lisp, adjustment disorder and is still being evaluated by the experts, although i have already told them they will state adhd. so i handle him according to what i know from experience working in the field, and hes doing great.

your post touched me, as i worked with antoher little boy, taught him sign, and allowed my son to play with him once a week. it wasn't long before he was calling my kid by name in sentences!!(involuntary speech as he wouldnt respond to a question verbally) but words they learn to sign are usually the first hey will learn to say.

this little guy was sharp, diagnosed developmentally delayed, which is thought was wrong, but anyway told them i thought autism was closer, as he (non verbal) could fluently understand and respond to 2 languages, and point out more than 200 items i named, and i mean things like "wellington boots', not "cat".

i have sat in on dysphagia assessments and helped with them a large number of times, so am confrotable int hat area too.

anyways... your little guy 's story just really hit me.

thats an "aquaclear" - very good filter.

i used them in conjuction with an undergravel and powerhead. great for plants and bactial culteures as they grow underneath it for tropicals and goldfish.

When I was 10 years old we got the first T.V. in town, the only station we could get was Lethbridge, I thought the Queen was in charge of us. Serviette was something you wiped your mouth with, napkin was some thing a woman would wear. Hood-bonnet, wagon-lorry, You never say "right?" you say "A", It's been many years since I was there, left in 1960 at the age of 14, in those days more Blackfeet lived in tepee,s then houses.

yups...i hear you...when i was 6, i had to attend ellocution lessons as my accent was too "british' for the local english, then next i was told my dutch suckd, then that i was too dutch or german, then told again i couldnt speak english in canada and reversed back to what i originally started with... lol.

not to mention that a trunk was a boot... plugin was outlet, and robot was traffic light hahahahah!!!

i was asked once if i would consider working with blackfot children on one of the reserves, but i simply didn't know enough of their culture to do it. ive learnt a bit since then from research, and the reserves from what i have seen are better than they were, although the alberta govt still has to figure out to put voting booths on the reserves so these guys can vote too!!

i worked a little with cree folk for a short period, and learnt a few things from and about them too.

my only wish is for ppl to learn more about each other, and then maybe they will understand each other better... but thats another story lol.

Well....ummmmm.....kind of yeah!;)

I draw cartoons....that is by far my passion! I don't draw my own though, I draw "off of" others, it's not the same as copying, I eye it and draw what I see! And I gotta admit I am pretty good at it! Actually our Head Start home visitor, has seen a few drawings that I did for my kids, ie; the little mermaid. sponge bob ect. and asked me to paint the window at their center! I have to go do that next week! I am not sure most people would call me an artist, but I do love to draw! I am just getting into these new blendable colored pencils, and charcoal, I am also trying to do some of my own work...it's hard to do after so many years of working off of someone else's, but I love the blends...I hope to get good at it eventually it is difficult to get the correct blends together! So what do we not have in common then???

Well he is very lucky to have such a great mom who knows what she is talking about! I read a little bit on Dysphasia earlier after you mentioned it, and I didn't really see much that fit munchie(my son), I do see some characteristics of Dyspraxia though...do you know much about that one?

I think I might try and have him tested elsewhere...as of now we are going to an SLP through the school district and at first she said he had Selective Mutism...after doing some research, I told her there is absolutely no way that is it...none of the symptoms fit him! She would have treated him for that, if I had not taken the time to find out about it, and I am a very strong advocate for my children ( I also have a 7 year old with a learning disability...he has a hard time reading, but is acing math, and every other subject, he is almost completely caught up now...he has worked his butt off for it!) I do not accept just any term that is thrown out at us!!! I enjoy the research anyway! It gives me something to learn, and I truly enjoy learning new things!

Daily Horoscope for March 21

Pisces

Today may start off with a bang, but it will end with you enjoying the comforts of home. You may be ready to curl up in your favourite sofa for the rest of the day once the Moon enters your fourth house of home and family. Your intuitive powers are peaking now, so listen to what your heart and gut have to say. Ignore what your rational mind says and go with how you feel.
