Will employers allow parents to come in late to work as well if they have teenagers?

I understand that kids need their sleep but what about when they graduate high school and need to enter the work force (which in most careers doesn't start late morning) and are not used to that lifestyle... I think it could be detrimental... if kids can manage to get to bed early wouldn't that be an easier thing to change compared with changing the start times of schools... which could also impact parents who have to leave for work earlier...
