I've been on the generic of Aldara cream for 4 weeks, has anyone had a reaction like your lips are swollen and feel sunburned and severely chapped? The Basal Cell skin cancer is on my chest and the spot has been red, blistered, flaky, and has bled some times. I've been tired alot. I'm really worried about my lips feeling swollen and feeling chapped even though I keep stuff on them constantly. What else should I be worried about?

HELP! I used Aldera for 2 weeks, 2x a day. The little spots that I had blew up into 30 spots all over my forehead and inches away from my eyes. Now my eyes feel like they are sandpaper, blurry, and my heart is pumping..I do not feel well. What should I do? szukidavis@aol.com.

My mom passed away February 5, 2016. Four days after being prescribed alfalfa cream for bcc. Autopsy said she was healthy and they couldn't find anything wrong with her. I feel this stuff killed her. What do I do next? Who do I talk to so this stops happening?

Hate to tell you this but this drug is unsupervised chemotherapy. Chemotherapy consists of cytokine measurement before, during and after. If the cytokines change too much they back off the treatment...so as not to cause many altered changes in the body. This drug releases an additional 13 cytokines in the body every time you use it. If they did not measure the cytokines before during and after your chances of proving an issue ..are about nil...because your mom did unsupervised applications of this crap.

My son was on Aldara for skin condition and he had blood test that showed low white blood cells and low neutrophils this is side effect of Aldara and Dr did not mention that it can effect his immune system.
Many doctors ignore or are not aware of that effect. While I was applying imiquimod intra-rectally, my white blood cell count dropped from 5500/microliter to 2800/microliter, neutrophils dropped from 2700/microliter to 1200/microliter, about 50% drops in both. The counts normalized 1 month after I stopped imiquimod.

I stopped using Aldara cream for a BCC on my chest 6 weeks ago and the spot is still bright pink and inflamed. I'm scared it's never going to go away. Does anyone know how long it takes for the skin to go back to normal?

Is this your first time using it...how long did you use it and what was the frequency of use?
How large is the inflammed area?
Did it get larger cf the initial size

Would you mind elaborating on that, Alison? My son has been damaged by the drug, and we are trying to figure out how extensive the damage is. Are there cases of lupus reported?

My mother died in june 2016, 3 weeks after using Aldara.
What did you do? did you do any action against Meda or the doctor who gives this drug to your mother ?.
If anybody do something Aldara will continue to kill or damage people

I'd like info if anyone knows about a class action suit. It is a lot easier to ignore one person than it is a group of people. For me, the undesired and apparently permanent side effects occurred quickly despite me being very careful to follow the directions exactly. There needs to be a central location where we can band together if we are able to do something.

Well I had it prescribed for genital warts and I did get some crazy mood swings and pain (they were essentially being burnt off), but I didn't get any of the crazy shit that everyone else here got. It's been over 5 years and I'm as healthy as ever and haven't gotten warts back again.
I personally think aldara may actually be good to treat warts.... but it sounds like a terrible thing to treat bcc with!

Hi my specialist cut a BCC from my forehead but left a bit behind I refused to let him cut out the tiny bit as the cost was too much he said Aldara would treat it .I went to another specialist and he said Aldara will do superficial BCC which I had left .I put it on for 2 weeks each side of the scar nothing happened but a big cancer came up 1 inch away from the scar Now it couldn't jump that far so it was a new one once a BCC gets too deep they must be cut out cream will not help so if you can tolerate the cream do it .I find that 8 weeks sounds too long.My cancer came up into a big sore at least 1inch long It has cleared up now I will do my whole forehead now but find the rest of my face too sensitive to the cream.

I used this cream for 4 weeks and I found it dreadful. I couldn't sleep at night and therefore was very very irritable, this manifested itself on 2 separate road rage incidents. I used it for my chest and face which scabbed quite badly. I wouldn't mind if it cleared my BCC's but I still get nitrogen treatment. I believe I had read that Aldara contains Interferon. I am in awe that some people are using it for months, good luck to you all.

Before using Aldara I was told that the reasoning behind it is the Aldara brings the BCC's to the surface and then the body's own immune system heals the scabbibg and presumably the BCC. If someone can give me any other explanation, I would be grateful.
