I recently took a position I've been at for 3 weeks now this week 4/24. My head hurts and eyes burn from the chain smoker downstairs. It is a mom & pop shop a welding place in South Plainfield, NJ and there are numerous signs up of NO SMOKING. The owners haven't done anything about this guy cause he's been there for 10 years and he is one of their draftsman. I can't breathe, and the headaches are getting worse, the smoke rises as we sit on top of him 1 level up, even with the windows open I smell like a bar when I walk out of there.
I like the place, but how can I keep my job if I can't breathe & have constant headaches? Any suggestions?
