theres no telling how many people have genital herpes but its not nearly as common as chlamydia and other std's basically not many people have it -just the unlucky few so there is not a major outcry for a cure as so few people have it plus its not a life threatening disease so the government arent willing to pump money into bringing out the cure compared to say,cancer or hiv these things kill you in the end meanwhile herpes is just an irritating skin disease which comes and goes and most people dont know they have. ive lived with it for some time now and its not recommended at all so wear protection at all times because once u catch the dreaded 'herpes' virus theres no cure and probably never will be so be safe

i read on internet about HSV-zero. has anyone heard or tried it? it says it's effective for herpes.

I know about it. My cousin had herpes type 1 and a week ago he tried HSV-zero. he's better now. lesions don't form so far..

my neighbor had been diagnosed herpes type 1 too, and then he bought HSV-zero.he said that it contains medicinal plant extracts. Now I see that he seems healthier and happier than before

Cure, unlikely. Best hope is a vaccine for future generations. Like they've done with several strains of HPV.

Yo tengo Herpes genitales tipo 1 y 2 cada dia me meto a internet para ver si an encontrado una cura pero nada. Disen que esta enfermeda no mata pero ami me esta matando el alma. Until then, acyclovir and valacyclovir are still the go to meds for controlling one's break outs. Save yourself some cash and buy generic.

Hi,
I have has genital herpes for two years and at the beginning the out breaks were every two, three weeks. Now I only get them once every six months and for a very specific reason.
How did the outbreaks change... This may sound stupid but here it goes... Being extremely healthy and changing my diet.
I hardly drink any alcohol and I eat NO red meat. I eat lots of seafood and vegetables and fruit every morning in whatever form possible. I also eat RAW whenever I can.
At first I thought it was coincidence but every time I went out to party ( which in my case is every few months) and drink alcohol and upset my body balance, I get an outbreak. I have one right now because I went out to party on Saturday. I had not had an outbreak for six months! This is no longer coincidence I believe it can be treated with diet.
My girlfriend has normal oral herpes and same thing she lo longer gets it but she has it now because we went out and upset our body.
Try it out, it's worth it. Fruit and fiber for breakfast, good salad and fish for lunch and vegetables. And as little sugar, fat, white flour and chemicals as possible. NO soda drinks at all which means we have to avoid high fructose corn syrup etc.
Anyway I don't know the exact formula but this works for me. Try it out see what happens you will need to give it at least a few months for your body to get used to new diet."

RE: 'herpes cure' herpes can be found in the nomanclature many ways: herpes simplex 1+2 cold sores and genital herpes, varicella/ zoster, (chicken pox) herpetic whitlow and others. Genital herpes is kept in remission with Valtrex. Varicella is prevented in the 1st place with the vaccine. One cannot get into grade school without it. VZV , if caught as chicken pox as a child or adult CAN lie dormant in the dorsal root of the spine and reoccure as a extremely painful condition known as 'shingles' The pain of the post herpetic neuralgia is sometime permanent. It can be disabling and seem like white hot fire. Luckily a vaccine is available at age 55 or sooner.
