The purpose of this note is simple. We need help! I am the aunt of a 22 year old quadriplegic. She sustained her injury during a multiple car pile up. My brother, who is a fireman, has taken on her financial and healthcare responsibilties. My brother has run into insurance obstacles that have at times tied his hands. His goal is to make his daughter as independent as possible. In order for him to reach his goal he needs help. I am not asking for a monetary handout, I am asking for someone to sit and explain the benefits my niece may qualify to receive. Our family motto is "LIVE CLEAN AND HONESTLY". Do you have any advice?

Has anyone tried the raisins soaked in whiskey for arthritis? If so what are the proportions?
Thanks.

Correction, the name of the shampoo is:

The shampoo is TRESemme Silk Protein Healthy Volume, and the conditioner is TRESemme Vitamin E for dry or damaged hair.

Is it true that some of the caveats put on drugs can be triggered by just one person having the sympton that they mention in the ads?

My 10 year old grandson's feet smell terrible! I can't keep his shoes and dirty socks in the house. Any ideas on how to help him and us solve this terrible odor problem?

I have stenosis, curviture of the spine, a nerve being pinched. The Orthopidist at first said if he did surgery, they would fuse it. Then he said he does not like to do fusing. That if he did, he would have to fuse all the way up to my shoulder blades because of all of the arthritis I have. I am to do pain management and if I get where I can't lift my legs while sitting, to get in right away, but not to wait until I am in a wheelchair as then it would be too late to do anything. He is sort of leaving it up to me when to have surgery. I am taking Tramadol (Generic for Ultram), working on some machines at the Y, and doing water exercises. I am still in a lot of pain. Some of my friends told me to ask you what you would do. They thought maybe you would have a suggestion on what to do to take away the pain. Thank you.

I have an experience with my hair. I have been taking Barley Life and all of a sudden realized my hair was getting thicker. I was getting quite thin in front and now have hair there. The product does not promote hair growth, but it says it flushes out toxins from the body.

Dear Dr. Gott: I have read several letters to you regarding dizziness while lying down. I had this and after an MRI and ultrasound of my neck, I was sent to an ENT doctor who did a very simple procedure that involved shaking my head while I was lying down. This cured the problem. It was benign positional vertigo. It seems that there are crystals in your inner ears that sometimes get out of place and cause this vertigo when lying down and turning to one side or the other. This was a simple procedure; he just shook my head very gently to get the crystals back in their proper place. I was told to go home and sleep sitting up that first night only. It went away and has never come back. Sounds funny, I know, but it sure worked for me. I thought I had a brain tumor or something!

A while back, Dr.Gott mentioned a product to use on your hair for head lice. It was like so many of his cures, not something you would think of to use. I didn't write it down because my grandchildren are out of school and I didn't think we would need it. My Grandaughter who is 19 now has them and can't seem to get rid of them with the standard products. If anyone can recall what he suggested it would be a great help. Thanks
Mayonaise can be used. Also the use of a hair dryer kills head/body lice.
