Inside the Battle to Define Mental Illness

Every so often Al Frances says something that seems to surprise even him. Just now, for instance, in the predawn darkness of his comfortable, rambling home in Carmel, California, he has broken off his exercise routine to declare that “there is no definition of a mental disorder. It’s bullshit. I mean, you just can’t define it.” Then an odd, reflective look crosses his face, as if he’s taking in the strangeness of this scene: Allen Frances, lead editor of the fourth edition of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (universally known as the DSM-IV), the guy who wrote the book on mental illness, confessing that “these concepts are virtually impossible to define precisely with bright lines at the boundaries.” For the first time in two days, the conversation comes to an awkward halt.

There are no genetic tests, no brain scans, blood tests, chemical imbalance tests or X-rays that can scientifically/medically prove that any psychiatric disorder is a medical condition.

The Mental Health Industry is political. A planned Republican Coup Detat since the Reagan / Bush Presidency in the 1980's. The New World Order in the making. The Mental Health Industry in the pivotal position of social engineering was developed and put together by the federal funding for social services and the educational funds and applied under the Reagan / Bush presidency. The mind drugging of America without science began under the Bush Sr presidency in 1989 with no evidence based medicine,' the reduction of the essential amino Tryptophan and the introduction of Prozac. A Clear crime against humanity and the civil rights of American citizans was taking place. An attack on the children of this nation while disrupting parental authority while at the same time the judiciary became under attack by members belonging to the same organization as those political candiates and corporations creating the forced drugging and incariration of children. ALEC. The school board was taken over in elections by Republican candiates at the same time that Republican politicans enacted laws to support their political and corporate interests. The public was now under attack by their elected Republican politicians.

Definition of mental disorders has now gotten wider. There are even experts who believe that being to mindful of healthy food may be a mental disorder. It may seem out of world but there is even a research about it.
