So you don't support the policy because of it's economic impact or you just basically hate the possibility of an unborn child having a chance of life?

There will be no problem finding babies a home. There are more people seeking to adopt than babies born. People go overseas to adopt children.

It's a crazy canard that people who support the life of the unborn reject that life after it is born.

And from the article quoted, you can see this isn't a Repbulican issue only.

“We have a responsibility to that unborn child, to give that unborn child a chance,” Rep. Austin Badon (D) told a legislative committee this week, explaining that his bill will protect the sanctity of life."

the question was......are you going to take responsibility for these children.? if not, then you are standing on your soapbox and telling others something you wouldn't do yourself

Are you suggesting that it is critical for me adopt a child out from under someone who desperately would like to just so you can think my opinion legitimate?

By that definition, you are a hypocrite also...unless you've withheld water and nutrition from a family member, more specifically your wife.

changed the subject. since you havent withheldwater and nutrition from from your husband, you are no expert either. now... care to explain why it is ok for you to impose your will on others but refuse to take responsibilty for your actions. no doubt that you are a hypocrite

Really, that's all you got? An incoherent sentence.

The request for a new trial, which is what the fuss was about, was not to impose anybody's will on anybody. It was to give a woman who was unable to speak for herself the opportunity to be heard in a fresh finding of fact.

She deserved an opportunity to be heard and represented by someone other than the attorney and husband who stood to profit from her demise.

That's all.

there were 5 requests for a new trial and they said the same thing each time. the fresh findings of fact were non-existent . she got a lot more leeway than most and the facts won out. the autopsy proved the schlindlers were lying dogs all along

New trial denied. That was the congressional fracas remember?

There had only been appellate trials and no new evidence allowed.

they only had the evidence they had. hind sight says that the edited videos of terri talking to her mother as false according to the autopsy. intelligent people looked past those. wait a minute!!!!! you believed them and still do because you would be wrong

The point is no new trial was allowed which would have allowed evidence to be weighed afresh.
Michael Schiavo got what he wanted, which was the death by dehydration, of his wife.
Of course, he was able to hire the very best in representation using the jury award he got by ignoring the promise he says he made.
there was no new evidence because of the way the schlindler lawyer worded his brief. what would have been the new evidence? the autopsy says that all their new facts were fake. the schlindlers could have afforded the best lawyers had they spent that six million on lawyers

Michael Schiavo, fortunately, had Terri's award to fund the very expert legal representation of GF. During the first hearing, the Schindler had not had any fundraising.
Additionally, MSCHIAVO never revealed "the promise " to them before the jury award. As a result the Schindler gave testimony without knowing the plan was for her to die by dehydration.
and the schlindlers would have had the best lawyers but they didn't want to spend all the money given to them for lawyers. they put it in their pocket

it does explain why your answer is not correct though. for the money the schlindlers collected they could have gotten the very best lawyer. seems to me the schlindlers greed was the problem
