They know kung fu

Not everybody is kung fu fighting, but some locals are doing it very well. The Nanaimo Wing Chun club, having quietly gone about its business for decades, has definitely made some noise this summer.

Sifu Bob Stevenson of Nanaimo is One of North Americas Most Authentic Wing Chun Instructors.. Lineage is everything and Bob is a 4th generation Instructor under Paul Lamb/Leugn Sheung/Yip Man himself.. Bob has taught his style for over 30 yrs and is very serious in comparison to all others in BC ive experienced. So much gets losts when info changes hands. The original "NO BULL" hardcore training has never lost a beat with Bob's classes.. With inexpensive classes to prove he is not out the make alot of money but to share, Bob is a true master. Most students do not make it through the first 3 months everyone with an ego learns their place very quickly and usually dont stay.. Hard and fast Lap Sau and aggressive push pull chi sau (most systems dont even know this which boggles me) If you are looking for the real Authentic Wing Chun instruction, if you can find him, consider yourself VERY lucky.. Thanks to Sifu Bob for giving all these years..

It is not graduated for teaching; no serious student under him would even ask this question; student who are not serious do not last; we all just want to learn from him forever because you could not find the bottom of his knowledge; one senior student is teacing a female class with bob's support; Bob teaches by the original code; quietly, without belts, and not as a sport. He does not seem to think belts mean anything; he seems to think doing kung properly means something.
