But stopping thousands of sex tourists sleeping with young moroccan girls, often underage, doesn't seem to be such a priority? Believe me, it isn't for the authorities in Marrakech or Essaouira. Oh right, because that might interfere with tourism.

As ever the land of contradiction.

Homosexuality isn’t a problem. Some people are naturally attracted to the same sex, and you can’t do anything about, as it’s their right to choose.
The problem in Morocco is rapes and pedophilia, as no one can speak up loud about them. Even the victims are too scared to complain. They are afraid from the environment and people pointing fingers at them.

I didn't know about rapes but pedophilia is right in your face from the moment you land in morocco.

the problem in morocco is corruption and people in the top position are very corrupt. the other problem is that most moroccans are still scared and overpowered by a very repressive regime.
Most moroccans careless what you do behind closed doors and homosexuality is very thriving in morocco (gay for pay or just simple gay relationships)
pedophiles are very prominent in morocco and they know how to hide from the law and how to use and exploit children. and these pedos are not just from european countries but from wealthy moroccans (jews and others alike) and from rich people the SA and emirites.
