Yea!This can be considered as an interesting investment! not like some retired or left-over Europeans who came here and bye a house called Riad for few Euros ,renting cars ,selling excursions, guiding their costumers around the city as guides, become shopping consults.......,

Actually, it doesn't sound good investment for Saouira. Saouira is pretty quiet city. That's the beauty of its character. A big tourist resources wonít fit and will just ruin the image of it like the big 5 star hotel out there already. It just looks ugly building next to nice red walls of Saouira. They need some investment suit the authenticity and fill the needs on the personality of the city.

True my first trip to Essaouira was in 1965,and back every year i find the concrete still going and killing the beauty of the quite city i loved, also we should observe the impact of this cheap tourism on the population ,(Sorry but Essaouira now reminds me Tangier in the 50es,when the Europeans said Tangiers or la ville putain!)meaning a town opening it's doors to anyone.

Thatís the downside of the investments of big scales they never respect the environment they are built in. Any new building should suits the surrounding and adds to its characters. Thatís in general the bad thing about the Moroccan Institution Law, the head of the city council can decide about buildings without asking any of the construction engineersí advices.
