Whaling case just politics: Japan - The Canberra Times
Japan has dismissed Australia's legal challenge to its scientific whaling program as a desperate vote-grab by a Government facing ''an uphill road'' to re-election. The Rudd Government announced yesterday it will take legal action in the International Court of Justice in The Hague to stop Japan killing whales each summer in the Southern Ocean.

To stop whaling all we have to do is find the Japanese whalers something else to do to earn a living.
I contacted our government and they have chosen to ignore my input.
