Only stating that Kentucky Revised Statutes does not support that. Show me. And I too have spent my time in that gauntlet, on both sides.
And it sucks.. Dont it?

In the state of Kentucky you are old enough to choose who you want to live with. Your mom will have to get a lawyer. Good luck and i hope you can go live with your mom.

rights, who cares where he takes them as long as he brings them back thats the main thing.women complain to much about retarded things.women dont need to know everything sheesh grow up and let the father be the father without a fcking leash around his neck.thats the problem in this world today the custodial parent wants to complain about crap that shouldnt even matter and then the government gets involved over something that shouldnt be into play.

Hi! My ex-husband lives 4 hours away in St. Louis, MO and sees our children twice a year. He just informed me that he wants his sister (whom I barely know and has no children of her own) to take our children to MI without him for a week this summer. I'm very uncomfortable with this primarily because it's so far away, I don't know any of these people, the kids haven't ever met any of them, and he won't be there. If anything were to happen...does he have a right to do that without my permission or consent? Also, we don't have a visitation schedule, so does he have a right to keep them longer then we agreed to? Can I file kidnapping charges against his sister if she does this with his permission but not mine?

I am in a similar situation...My husband has sole custody of my step-daugther and her biological mother just began receiving supervised weekend visitation. My husband and I are very uncomfortable with the biological mother and the supervisors taking the child on a long trip. My husband even voiced concerns about the visitation to social workers recently. They have been leaving the child alone with the mother, who has a history of repeated drug use. We are also very concerned about whether he has the right to refuse to let them take her so far away.

<quoted text>The NON custodial parent really has NO rights. The only right that the NON custodial parent has is VISITATION. If you want to take the child out of state then you need to get permission from the CUSTODAIL parent. And who in the hell do you think you are Outside Advisor to tell someone what they should of done to keep the children with BOTH PARENTS? If you don't live in that household then what business is it of yours? I would have to say none!
I have something to say about all this, my x-wife is the non-custodial parent, has been absent from my sons life for 12 years almost, my son had to be homescholed with out notice, and here he goes to the lawyers and county attorney saying, I dint allow visitation, and ask for permission to homeschool my son? WTF about that, let alone owe me child support too!! How the hell does anyone have a right to complain, she has made only 4 payments and is mad because our son wont have nothing to do with her? What the hell is all this this?

this wasnt true in my case, their making me force my 16 year old son to stay with his mom. I thought at 16 you got to choose? And my warrant for child support was not served, and she claims not to be working and has gotten married and had a kid. How can someone force a child to go with them? And my son has been ill also, thats the reason for the homschool. and theyre mad throwing a temper tantrum for some unknown Godly reason, I dont understand!!

Im also the custodial parent, I thought I was the one that made choices for our son, because, she chose not to. And Im gonna start keeping a record of the "no shows" from now on, count on that.

is this true? I tried to get an EPO and because I didnt have solid proof they dismissed it even though she had a criminal record.

Ok so I am a non custodial father of a 15 year old son who's mother that has custody was arrested and left child alone and homeless in another state for months and now has given power of attorney to the Childs step grandmother who will not allow the child to have any contact with his mother or father. The child in question has contacted me and made allegations that the step grandmother has made sexual comments and even went as far as showing the child her sexual toys and frequently asked the child to rub or massage her. The child has stated that he feels extremely unsafe in his current living environment and stated that he feels like he is being held captive and has asked me to get him to a safer environment. What can I do to help my son legally?
