my father died of MDS, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, right now there are only two things confirmed that cause this cancer, Benzene, Radiation, confirmed, but these mining chemicals cause this to, doctors would ask to perform operation, scopes, they had to have someone in family that would allow this procedure, but when it was done they wouldn't even tell family results, why , because it was bad, they would tell government, but not the family, Boyd county KY has seen hundreds of deaths like this, they would list Kidney death as Polycistic Kidney disease, that's what they listed man that had highest Chromium in body as, but none of his family have that gene

"Gerth | Lundergan bus contract a no-win for Grimes

You have to question exactly what the campaign of Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes was thinking when it decided to rent a tour bus from a company that is owned by the candidate's father, Jerry Lundergan.

And when it decided to rent the Carrick House, a historic Lexington home that he also owns.

And when it opted to hire Lundergan's companies to handle the arrangements like chairs, sound systems and a media riser at the events at there.

Technically, there is nothing wrong about doing business with family members, but the decision to use Lundergan's services was still a no-win situation for Grimes because it gave U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell's campaign a reason to draw Jerry Lundergan into the fray.

And that's something McConnell, R-Ky., has been itching to do ever since Grimes entered the race 13 months ago. "I want to say how nice it is, to see Jerry Lundergan back in the game," McConnell said from the stage at the 2013 Fancy Farm Picnic, just a month after Grimes announced she would challenge him.

Now, there are obvious benefits to using Lundergan's companies — the main one being that Grimes knows things are going to be done right.

Lundergan would move heaven and earth to make sure the sound system works perfectly for his daughter.

You could be sure that the huge projection screen that featured a video by former President Bill Clinton at her campaign roll-out would be positioned in such a way that the late afternoon sun wouldn't interfere with viewing the big dog.

In short, he would pay attention to details like no other contractor on the planet. As he told me when complimented about Grimes' presidential-style roll-out, "That's what daddies do for their little girls."

Part of the problem is Lundergan's background.

He was forced to resign from the Kentucky House of Representatives some 30 years ago because his company accepted a no-bid contract to cater a state economic development event in Louisville — which a legislator was prohibited from doing.

Lundergan was convicted of a felony, but that conviction was thrown out when an appeals court said he should have been charged only with a misdemeanor. By then, the statute of limitations had run out and Lundergan was never recharged.

But another problem is that the pricing structure for any service a Lundergan company provides for Grimes becomes suspect to Republicans and possible fodder for the McConnell camp.

In the current case involving the bus, the GOP argues that Lundergan's company became guilty of violating federal campaign finance law when it, a corporation, purchased the bus to be rented to the Grimes campaign.

Furthermore, it claims that the $456 per day a reporter with Politico calculated the campaign is paying for the bus is well under the market rate for renting a similar bus.

Had the campaign agreed to pay more for the bus rental, and if McConnell's crack researchers had found a few quotes from bus companies charging less, you can imagine the news releases and television commercials suggesting that the Grimes campaign's sole purpose was to pay her father's companies inflated prices and to enrich him.

In a week when the campaign would have liked to focus attention on Grimes' performance at the Kentucky Farm Bureau forum, where she was more aggressive than McConnell and stood her own without any major gaffes, they were talking about a bus.

"KY DEMS PIN HOPES ON GRIMES, DESPITE CHECKERED FAMILY HISTORY

Democrats are convinced that Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell is vulnerable in next year's midterm elections. Even the most vulnerable Senator, however, needs an opponent in order to lose. Actress Ashley Judd floated, and then quickly deflated, her own trial ballon about opposing McConnell. Dem hopes now seem to be focused on 34-year-old Alison Lundergen Grimes to challenge McConnell. She comes into the race with considerable family baggage.

With Judd's exit from the race, and without any Tier-1 candidates to challenge McConnell, KY Democrats are looking to newly elected Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes to take on the veteran Senator. The 34-year-old has only been in elected office for 2 years, but she comes from a storied KY Democrat political family. The stories, however, are not all positive. "

"Grimes' father is Jerry Lundergan, a long-time KY legislator and one-time head of the KY Democrat party. He was forced to resign both positions when he was convicted of an ethics violation. His catering company inappropriately received a lucrative government contract for an official event, which he failed to disclose. He escaped a prison sentence when a mistrial was ruled in his proceedings.

James Sullivan, a childhood friend of Lundergan, was later convicted of jury tampering in the trial.
It is perhaps no surprise that the Lundergan family have very close ties to former President Bill Clinton. Lundergan's company even catered Chelsea Clinton's wedding. Lundergan was also Kentucky Chair for Hillary's campaign for President in 2008.
Democrats may have no other option than a neophyte scion of a political dynasty with a checkered heritage. Such is the state of politics in the Bluegrass State. If Grimes were to run, Clinton would no doubt make appearances on her behalf, but haven't we reached the sell-by date on corrupt Southern political dynasties? "

And now on to the real issues -

"Kentucky GOP files FEC complaint against Grimes
POLITICS

The Republican Party of Kentucky has filed a complaint against the campaign of Alison Lundergan Grimes, contending she and a company her father owns violated the law when the company bought a tour bus and rented to Grimes' campaign for what the GOP says is below market rates.

The issue has been simmering all week as Grimes has tried to put the issue to rest, telling reporters that the campaign's lawyer looked into the matter and determined the campaign and Signature Special Events Services were within the law.

Read the complaint and the evidence the GOP says backs up its complaint.

THE ACCUSATION: Grimes campaign denies bus rental wrongdoing

SHARING THE STAGE: Grimes, McConnell trade volleys at farm forum

U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell and challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes talk about the Farm Bill.

The interesting thing about the complaint is that it alleges the illegal action began not when the campaign began leasing the bus, but when Lundergan's company purchased. If the FEC were to side with the Republican Party, that could increase the amount of money any corrective action could cost the campaign."
