I was rather disappointed that she did not leave anything for the Humane Society.

I would not want my name associated with the hopkins county humane society, she probrably felt the same way. I know they are trying to change their image, and hopefully the way they run the place as well.

Whatever happened to a simple thank you to a woman who willed her own estate in whatever way she saw fit! She didn't have to be that kind, alot of people are so greedy they seem to think they are gonna take it with them! So how about saying what a generous thing to do instead why didn't she do this or that!

Well I would hope if she left 1 plus mil to build a stupid park that she was a nature and animal lover, what a disappointment to find it wasn't true.

If I remember, years ago a rich elderly man passed away and left the county a very large plot of property so we would have a bigger fair grounds. They turned it into a county land-fill.And the money went into the city fund. Or so an older lady told me.
