No pot doesn't make you stupid, believing what people on Fox News say as fact and disregarding truth is stupid. Marijuana isn't addictive, it's less dangerous than cigarettes, and alcohol which are legal drugs.... Did you know they also proved alcohol is more of a gateway drug than marijuana? Now I'm not demonizing cigarettes but cigarettes don't help their case any. And it's not Americas business to get involved in all international affairs, were not the world police, this doesn't make you weak like you love to put it shows we got balls enough to talk it out rather than waste human life. Your mindset is very scary and very dangerous to America....lay off Fox News man.

Have I said a word about Fox News? You are assuming something that you have yet to prove. We kept our head in the sand in the 90's and look what it got us. We went on more military operations that had nothing to do with national security for what? NOW we have problems, problems ONLY a strong leader can handle and work in our favor. OBAMA ISN'T THAT LEADER!

I am a very conservative 48 year old white male. I do watch Fox News and I do despise Obama. I also am aware of the fact that marijuana is much less harmful than any type of alcoholic beverage. Pot doesn't make you stupid. If you have a doctor he probably smokes marijuana. If you ever need a lawyer he probably smokes marijuana also. Pot doesn't make you stupid. Whatever your drug of choice is makes you stupid. I would guess that you have abused the most deadly drug on the planet, especially as it concerns innocent persons not involved, alcohol. You are aware that every time you use alcohol you burn brain cells aren't you? Alcohol also causes cancer, cirrhosis, and many other diseases. But politicians and governments get rich off of alcohol taxes, permits, bribes, etc. while they can't figure out a way to tax what one could grow in their own back yard. Therefore the abused children, beaten wives and girlfriends, carnage on the highways, and otherwise ruined lives must continue.

No son, I am bright. 149 last tested. Honorable veteran and grandfather. I piss away more brain cells than you've ever possessed. More importantly, I'm intelligent enough to know things. Sorry 'bout your luck. Obviously your folks smoked a BUNCH. Carry on troop, carry on.

Despite my personal opinion of the matter, legalization ,medical decriminalizing. I just think it is hypocritical how we demonize the tobacco industry, outlawed cigarette ads, made smokers second class citizens and have forbidden smoking almost everywhere but everybody is headlong in agreement with legalization. I think it is a little funny, that is all!

149 what? If you're so bright, then you must of realized you didn't finish that statement. Just the fact that you said 149 last tested makes you an idiot in my book.....do yourself a favor and murder your family so the world won't be contaminated with idiots who believe marijuana is bad for you. Haha

You've proven my point. Anyone possessing a hint of gray matter would have known what I referred to. Intelligence quotient, or IQ, if that helps you to understand. And not the goofy pot head games so prevalent on the web, but the test series administered by professional "smart" people. And I never implied that "pot" doesn't have uses, it most assuredly does. Unfortunately far too many braindeads imbibe way too much and the effects are counterproductive. Your contributions to this thread are indicative of such. So, put down the bong dope. Become a contributing member of society and not just another fog head that others need to sidestep and far too often support. Marijuana, not unlike morphine, has a place and use, but not for the masses and definately no more for you. The damage is too great already. Aw, what the hell. Fry them brain cells son, go for broke. One can't waste which has already been spent.

Anyone with an iq of 149 would have known to be more specific when talking to what you think is a simpleton.....let me ask you something genius, what's more deadly alcohol and tobacco or marijuana? What's more stupid, a pothead or an alcoholic? What's your experience with pot exactly? Why is it that the only problem with marijuana is getting caught with it? If you're really a genius, then you should know marijuana isn't a gateway drug, but making it illegal makes it a gateway drug because, you have to go through dealers that also sale other drugs. Tell me something else what's more addictive, cigarettes, alcohol, meth, coke, and heroin, or marijuana....for a genius you really have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to marijuana.

When attempting to weigh out specifics or argue a point, one should refrain from comparing apples to oranges. Weed has a place. I'm not condemning it's benefits. It is difficult to measure the addictive attributes of anything. Addicts are people, therefore different. Some succumb to addiction while others do not. Is that because the substance is different or the user? Come on, stimulate what's left of those cells. Look dude, pharmaceuticals are, in my opinion, the greatest threat we're facing. No, pot is not the "demon" drug that some choose to make it out to be. With that said, legalization for non medicinal use is also not the answer. Weakening our nation more than it is now is not the answer. It doesn't take a genius to deduce that. Anyone with a genuine concern for our nation's future should be able to figure that out. Anyone with a genuine concern for future generations should know that without requiring that it be gift wrapped and delivered. Think about your cutlery.... Which performs better? The sharp chef's knife or the dull one? Now, apply that comparison to your life guard, ambulance driver, pilot, financial advisor, heart surgeon, day care worker. What do you think stoney?

We'd be comparing apples to oranges if apples are picked off trees and oranges were man made. You're not comparing apples to oranges when it comes to weed and alcohol or weed and meth or weed and coke or even weed and prescription drugs, you're comparing a plant to man made drugs. which I agree prescription drugs are very dangerous to our society. But I find it offensive that I am considered a "dull knife" when it comes to work....I work hard for everything I own, and it's a real shame that people who smoke pot are discriminated in this way. It's a shame that self righteous people like yourself are so judgmental when it comes to what a consenting adult does on their own time. And don't let irresponsible pot users paint the picture of all pot users, a lot of us are responsible pot users. I don't go around saying everyone who owns a gun is a psycho because a few people decided to shoot up a public place.

I guess that's because you're not knowledgeable of the subject. I don't think the government should ban smoking. I must admit it's a very unhealthy habit that will eventually kill a person but that was a personal choice back when we lived in a free country.
What you don't understand is that while the average smoker probably smokes 20 - 30 cigarettes a day a joint with much less product in it would satisfy a couple of people for hours and they might do this a time or two a week. Of course there are some who would get stoned out of their mind daily just like some drinkers do. But they wouldn't do nearly as much harm... especially to innocent persons they cross paths with. Everyone in the country breathes more smoke from various sources each day that they ever would from smoking marijuana.

I would like to see you smoke McDonalds!! You NEED food, you DON'T need an intoxicate!! If you want to go down this road. HISTORY proves that alcohol was the cleanest substance people had to drink for centuries. Cleaner then the water which was full of bacteria that caused diseases like Cholera, Typhoid fever and Dysentery. The only purpose for smoking marijuana is to get stoned!

Do you live under a rock Patrick star? You don't think people realized they had to boil contaminated water till recently and wasn't a lot of water sources back then actually clean compared to nowadays? And people did smoke marijuana back then, marijuana has been on the earth a very very long time.

AS AN INTOXICANT , NOT AS A SOURCE TO SURVIVE!! For a long time people were unaware of germs! The making of alcohol killed those germs! I thought you knew history?
