Awesome; a chance for young single mothers to move from welfare by getting a college education. The more people we can get out of the welfare system the better this area will be. A working class supports a community.

To think that UPike has been talked about so bad on here. Then something like this comes out that they are trying to do. Kinda makes a feller go hmmmm to figure out how people is going to talk down on this idea like making UPike a public university.

They have been working on this project for a long time. It certainly doesn't demonstrate any kind of elitist, but rather a sincere concern for the people of this area and the area's future.
sorry

This project sucks. I have 2 kids, living on their own, making ends meet by the skin of their teeth. No insurance, junk for cars, can't pay rent nor insurance. But they are out there fighting instead of crying to the government. They won't qualify for nothing, no insurance, no real baby sitters, no college education. That sucks that there is a way for those to get all this free, when my kids don't qualify. The mark of broken system when those trying end up in worse conditions than those sittin on their arses.

I am a single mother of a two yearold i am disabled but i am currently pursuing my college education and my major is Criminal Justicr and their children will also get the benefits and because we work hard in College will be the reason n e one qualifies... i have struggled and still currently struggling with getting byhowever when my daughter finally has her own room, a chance for a better learning environment, along with her mother and she knows were safe in our own place to call home for a while we will be able to sleep peacefully at night and i won't have to worry so much because there has been days i go hungry jus so she can get her daily required food groups that she needs. but with the scholar house and their help with a home while i am trying to get my degrees i won't have to worry about these hardships much longer and thwen once i get ahead and am working with troubled juveniles then i can give some back. Maybe ur kids should try harder n maybe u should quit being so judgmental

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Sagittarius

It's a great day for mixing and mingling with people you always get on well with, so try not to keep yourself to yourself too much as that would be a real shame on a day when you're feeling so convivial and friendly. Speaking of friends, you'll enjoy spending time with them now, especially if you share some core values.
