Not a good area of Louisville these days. Used to be a vonderful place about 10 to 15 years ago but now its getting overran by trash and lowlifes. You would be better off to move to the outskirts of the city maybe Highview, Jeffersontown, Middletown, etc. Not Hikes Point these days. Its not all that bad during the day but at in the evenings and night it gets pretty freaky and I've been there plenty of times at night. My wife used to rent an apartment hear the intersection of Klondike and Hikes and she wouldn't even dare live there now and it was only about 13 years ago that she lived there. The garbage from places like West Buechel, Buechel, Newburg, etc are moving out of those areas and into nearby areas like Hikes Point, Okolona, etc which are all going downhill. Even the Highlands has been seeing a mass amount of home invasions and break ins over the past 2 to 3 years. If you're from anywhere close to Dawson Springs, you're used to quiet country life and I'm sure you won't find that anywhere in the city. Maybe in the outskirts of Louisville especially the first class suburbs of Anchorage, Middletown, Prospect, and even Highview which is a nice area. Hikes Point started going to garbage about 7 years ago or so and its really increased since the 2008 economic downturn.

By the way, just check out the Kroger at Hikes and Breckenridge about 10 pm at night and you'll see what I mean. My most recent trip in that area was about a year ago when we were apartment shopping in the vicinity of Breckenridge Ln. One of the biggest slum projects in that area is not too far from the Kroger and they rent to pretty much anyone which means section 8 garbage and people that don't care. If you do move to that area, make sure to keep some mace on you and have a home video security system for say 300 to 500 bucks. Its just not that good of an area any longer. Used to be wonderful back 15 years ago but now its become infested with illegal aliens, ghetto trash, etc. Same goes for places to the west of I 65 too especially Shively, West End, Beechmont, Taylor Blvd. etc. I just moved from that area of Shively/PRP in 2012 so I know what I am talking about.

Bestiality is a sin.
But no, Hikes Point is no longer safe, the subhuman negroes and mexicans have overrun the area due to section 8 rentals.(They wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.)
As a previous homeowner, I had my house broken into twice, and this was with an ADT system. Unfortunately, the cowards waited until I left to break in, otherwise I would have killed them.
But yeah, Hikes Point is gone, leave it to the subhuman negro apes.
